I was wondering about something: Is Princess Leia's Full Name. "Princess Leia Amidala Organa" thats before Han.
then in EU after ROTJ it becomes: "Leia Amidala Solo Organa".

I do not have the books about her but I would guess theres info about this in one of them. Interesting.

Her birth name is "Leia Amidala-Skywalker."

After she is adopted by the Organa family, her full official name becomes "Her Heiness, Princess Leia Organa of Alderaan."

And, after she marries Han, she takes the name "Leia Organa-Solo"

When did Amidala become part of her name? Is it her middle name, or is it a double name? I thought that, even if a wife decides to hyphenate her maiden name with her husband's name, that the children still took the father's name.

And from the EU I've read, Leia didn't hyphenate her name with Han's. Organa simply took the traditional place of her middle name. So Leia Organa Solo, rather than Leia Organa-Solo.

Well, I put the hyphens in from habit. I meant the same thing.

But, the ROTS Visual Dictionary says that Leia's full birth name is "Leia Amidala Skywalker." And, in the SW universe, they don't always have the same customs. Sometimes the kids take their mother's last name, sometimes their father's, sometimes both.

Too bad it's not that way here...

How does it attempt to tie in? It's just a name! They never mentioned Leia's adopted last name in the OT either.

It's dumb that they added a name for the emperor, "Palpatine".

that's retarded. the prequels are just dumb attempts to expand the character with tie ins and crap

That actually is true. Palpatine, even though never said in the OT, was his actual name. I even remember back in like 1997 my friend and I were calling him Emperor "Turpentine" because we thought we were hilarious and were so witty at word play.

The same goes for Leia Organa. Even though her last name is never said in the movie, her name was plastered all over the toys and books and 100 piece puzzle sets.
