Yes, very nice. I agree with timdiggerm and obikal: maybe some more visual inference that lasers are still firing. But even if you don't do that, I think it's great as is! It's not hard to believe Jango held off on firing or that Obi-wan had made a turn that Jango didn't follow for a moment. Again, brilliant work as always, Aal!

Whoops! It's been a long time since I posted anything, huh?
Well, I've started another year of college, and things are super busy!
As it stands... I'm going to devote all my extra energy to finishing another personal project (which should be very cool and also Star Wars related!), and then I'll buy a new terabyte hard-drive to devote to RotS, which I'll be "starting from scratch" with more thinking-ahead.
So it should all be good!
But it's gonna take a while.
I think no one responded to this yet because everyone was crushed to hear it. How dare you have a personal life!? Years and years of waiting for the best edits...Good luck in school, and we hope to hear more from you soon.

I actually have like... ONE MORE video to share before I dedicate myself to finishing that one personal project (which is taking a lot of self-discipline. I just love editing so much!).
However....... I've been having so much trouble exporting it for some reason. I think my computer is finally ready to die (WAY too much editing going on. Takes up vast amounts of space on my computer, and my computer's getting mad at me!)
So... perhaps in the next few hours, I'll have it exported correctly so I can upload it to Vimeo. Until then.... hang tight!

Love that mother trucking Imperial March transition, and how it mirrors Vader's decision to save Luke in ROTJ. But then after the imperial march, it's like...I dunno. You need to work on the soundtrack there.

But that version worked so well! It's "triumphant" in it's evilness!
Unless you can find a more powerful version of that cue, I implore you to keep it. Seriously, it's that good.
Also, please cut out the entire Federation part of the music during Vader's march on the Jedi Temple, and keep it exclusively Imperial March. There's no reason for the Federation theme to be there.
Whoa...awesome edit there. Mace going solo and the shortened duel.......MUCH better. I also like the little cuts here and there of clunky/awkward moments from the theatrical version.
For a wip this is excellent. This really proves that with some fine tuning rots could have been a much tighter film.

On the topic of the Federation music in the march scene, I initially thought as you do - but then I realized it's not actually Federation music. It's really only "Clone Wars" music, and doesn't seem to be anybody's particular theme. It just sounds like the Federation theme. However, I would love to replace the front end of that song either way.
I was thinking about using the track from John Williams' score to "Midway" titled "Burning Carriers" for the front-end of that scene, and then fade to the Imperial March. But... I think I would need more talent with music mixing to make it sound good. We'll see.

Got this idea while poking around at TPM yesterday. What if Anakin was... grittier, rougher, and less innocent? Would the audience's perception change for the boy? Let's find out! :)

That's excellent. Had a similar idea. In what I'm working on, Anakin wins the race, but his actions actually cause the death of Sebulba. He thinks nothing of the death and celebrates anyway. Comes off much more eerie.
