I know you designated this thread dead Dayv, but unfortunately the AWK problem is not so I am resurecting it. This guy is starting to bug me. Every time I make a post, he has replied to it in like 2 seconds, which means that what I said is lost and possibly missed by others. This is not an ego thing of me wanting people to read my posts and not his, but, as an example, I just posted a link to an article about the new Bond, which I know many people here are interested in. 2 seconds later, he's replied with 'I want Tom Hanks for Bond'. This means that someone who actually is interested in Bond will miss my article and not get the info. Now, it's cool to make a joke, and Tom Hanks as Bond is a funny idea, but AWK's posts are starting to really stink of spam. it's just post after post for the sake of posting and it's getting boring. I'm not asking for a ban or anything (Hey, I stuck up for jedikev!) but I'm just asking politely if AWK would stop polluting the boards with endless inane posts.

It's not intentional. The thing with Tom Hanks isn't a joke. He actually expressed interest at one pooint in playing bond. The thought just came to my mind, and I posted it. It wasn't meant to annoy you or get your post ignored.

But dude, every thread in every topic you are there with your unfunny one liners. You'd already said you wanted Hanks as Bond a few posts up, you didn't need to say it again. It's just post after post. If they were all entertaining, intelligent, wothwhile posts then cool, post away, but frankly they're not. It's spam. I personally don't understand the kick you get out of constantly posting and getting a high ranking, it's not like you get a gold medal for your efforts. Maybe you are just bored. If so, read a book.

I did, oh, well I guess I forgot, that was a while back. What's funny about my latest posts anyway? I know the other night I kept putting "All your base are belong to us" stuff on there, but that was the other night.

And how exactly will you do this?

Everyone here needs to take a deep breath and calm down. Know that the new software will have an ignore function. You don't like someone? You'll never have to read a single post of theirs.

And enough of this DEAD THREAD stuff. Threads die when people stop posting. I've never seen another board anywhere on the web that actually kills posts via a single member's desire to see a thread die. Don't read the thread if it doesn't interest you. Simple.
