PSYCHO_DAYV, whatever your situation I only wish you the best (I did not appreciate somebody's comment about "karma" that seemed to be insinuating that the proper karmic "balance" to this situation is for you to actually get cancer).  Even if you've perpetuated something shady with the forum members out of a place of desperation in your life, then if everything is set right I don't see why anyone should hold any animosity towards you.  I certainly don't, and I was more than ready to donate to your cause.

I'm going to go to the off-topic section and talk about Star Wars for awhile.

another thing: back in 2008, Dayv told me in an email that he had cancer and said he had told his ex about it(the one that is mother of his children).   You make recall about a week ago, Dayv posted about not being able to see his kids for Christmas.   I talked to him in pms about this and said that I couldn't believe his ex wouldn't allow him to see his children knowing that it might be his last Christmas.   He then told me that the ex didn't know about the cancer.   Either he lied to me in 2008 or he lied to me a week ago.

THAT WASN'T THE LUNG CANCER IN 2008.  THAT WAS THE SARCOMA OF THE SMALL INTESTINE.  THAT WAS CURED.

it is curious that you never mentioned to me that the first cancer had gotten cured.

oh well,  we'll just have to wait and see what Jay has to say.

My thinking is he could be very well lying about the whole situation and Jay might've called the authorities for fraud. Not exactly since this forum is in grey area. Dayv keeps changing his story and I do not believe him.

I do doubt his credibility until Jay has saying otherwise on matter. You will not get any money from somebody even as wealthy as myself since I am not so very gullible and needing evidence to corroborate the claim.

Sorry I do not feeling empathy in regarding the situation until further notification.

I did receive a PM from Dayv with a lot of backstory, but no actual proof of illness. As he already said publicly, Dayv claims he burned the only proof.

Surely, the physician who provided the diagnosis can provide another printed copy at minimal cost, which would be worth it considering potential donations that would result.

Lots of conflicting info being sent my way by no one I've ever met in person. Actual proof of anything--from either side--is nonexistent at this point.

Jury is still out.

You mean... You're giving your money for someone who is supposed to need it to get better, while you don't read (or remember) his posts he gives in this thread in order to update news about his health ?

third time:  he didn't see it because it was sent to me in a PM.   Apparently, Leguman must have missed posts 165 and 168 of this thread.

My mistake, if CA was not replying to my post but yours.

Anyway...

You have great hearts people. Great hearts but total immaturity. I realize it even more with this mass emails affair from Jay for donations (I don't check my email linked to that site often).

If the topic was for another person with no personnal relationships or background around, you would have just believe what one person told you without evidence (edit) a question.

That is far more amazing to me than to think you could have been told a lie.

All my best thoughts to you DAYV once again whatever the truth is, I've no doubt you really need a load of positive vibrations... Who doesn't ? ;)

DAYV, to Jay you listen.  Your medical records are yours and you should always be able to obtain them.  If you really do need donations, what better way to get them back (and settle this issue) then provide this information to Jay?  What do you have to lose?

Immaturity is not an insult and you may be more mature than me on many things related to our respective lives. I'm aware the above statement may sound condescending toward the mass who replied to Jay's call but it's not, and certainly not a reason for insulting me in return. That was certainly not a comparison between "me" and "you".

I've no doubt Jay will think twice next time someone publicly announces serious help needed through donations, and everybody will be able to know exactly what they're doing.

Just clarifying my point here.

You sent e-mails to everybody about this. I'm in my right saying my feelings here, mod or not.

Animated GIF removed because it got on my fucking nerves. No other reason required.

But this topic was a great demonstration, thank you.

True.

What's also true is that you're acting like a total dick, and the last thing I or anybody else needs right now is the forum oddball riling everyone up. This situation is unfortunate enough already; we don't need your nonsense on top of it.

I forgot to mention it in the new rules, but getting on my nerves when I'm already annoyed has become a bannable offense. Quit pouring gasoline on the fire, or find yourself another forum that puts up with your particular brand of bullshit.

Sorry but I didn't expect my posts would appear as trying to put gazoline on fire, on the contratry.

Actually I wished to point out that if somebody lied to you in this matter, he's far to be the main responsible of all this, neitheir is Warbler to have created this topic besides. I think everyone is responsible here for giving credits to words. That's all. Now, if it's to hard to face I'm sorry.

I can't believe my posts are so badly understood even if I'm not from English culture.

PS: and again, I really think the creation of a dedicated section for big cases as medical or financial help would show it concerns more than one person here.

That wasn't my attention at all - I meant if you lie about something, it'll catch up with you in the end - that's what I meant by the Karma comment. And how dare you insinuate that I would wish cancer on anyone, especially after I posted that I know people that have died from it (people I loved). I'm awaiting an MRI result myself...

This whole situation is a mess, as is this thread. I gave a donation in good faith. The next day it's apparently refunded. I go onto the forums and read all about this situation. A situation to me that smells fishier by the minute I have to say. So far no proof has yet been posted - I know if it was me in this situation I'd go and get some scannable proof asap to clear this up like a docs note or something especially since its gotten to the stage of donations/refunds...

Out of here for good.

I think people understand your attitude, even if they do not always understand everything you write.  Your posts come across as condescending. In the past I have tended to give you the benefit of the doubt, even when you have obviously been annoying others, but your posts in this thread have really set my teeth on edge, to the point where you are one step away from my ignore list.  Please think about how you respond to other people, especially in situations such as this.

Regarding the situation with Dayv, I didn't donate because I didn't feel that I was in a position to know whether he has cancer or not, which is still how I feel.  I wish him good health, because either way I cannot go wrong with that.

There's a kind of a rant tone through some of my posts here, cause the actual situation confirms my thoughts since the beginning of this previously sticky thread (overall revealed by reactions after DAYV's friend inputs) . Lie or truth is secondary question: the way this affair has been exposed was a mistake. If I said what I thought since the beginning it would have been a true warning but I'd have been insulted and perhaps even banned right away. I think what you perceive as condescendance is rather passion. But this damn keyboard won't let you know exactly the real "me" I'm affraid.

Thank you for this intelligible address though. Whatever I think for myself I'm taking a note of your post.

I totally agree. And you never know how things you do strikes you back... It's always a 'surprise'. The offender always arms himself the more in the end, that's what I think and that's why I'm sorry Warb took it wrong when I said he doesn't need to spend his anger and hate if he may have been fooled. I can't wish you peace a more sincere way folks.

Hey Nerf, take care man ;)

I'll stay out of that place now.

Wow, the fun never stops at OT.com

A few years ago when I was in a bad way, Dayv was a good friend to me.  When I heard the news of his illness I didn't know what to do or say.

I was waiting till I got paid to donate.  I got paid today and came on here to double check the paypal details.  Then I read all these allegations of fraud and what-not.

Not really sure what to make of it all, but like I said, Dayv was there for me, so I hope he doesn't have cancer.  If he doesn't, he's obviously going through a bad time so I wish him all the best and hope he's ok.

And if he does have cancer, that sucks, and I will donate as soon as he starts accepting payments again.

War does not make one great.

ABC, you are welcome to your opinion.  But why put it in this thread?  What good does it do?

Let it go.
