I’m not really suggesting anything to do with us here, as I know what your getting at. There are things out there that are self helping that I personally dismissed, but a head worker brings up things that you actually then understand.

Jetrell Fo, this thread is for self-reflection, but I hope you don’t mind a little reflection from me. I’ve no doubt you are not a bad person. You’re obviously a very good person, regardless of whatever flaws you may have. You are a parent, seemingly a good one, and there is no greater calling in life than that.

You’re self-loathing is unwarranted. What could you have done that is so awful? You are young and have a great sense of humor. You are going through a phase in life when the future seems bleak. Teenage years are a challenge and the fact that there is a bright future with both ups and downs seems to escape people of that age. Believe me, I remember. But you have great potential, so stop looking at only your shortcomings.

These kinds of things can happen at anytime in one’s life. When you don’t have anyone to lean on it can be an unclimbable mountain. When you have some support, it’s like getting a comfortable chair to sit in and chill.

We have a lot of good people here but how they all communicate is all over the place. I created this thread with the intention of allowing those, like darth_ender who have a natural compassion, a place to share it. It is also a thread where one can look at themselves openly without any judgement and maybe find a little solace. I am proud of you for taking some time to be open. Showing support for each other can help us understand each other better and that makes communication far easier while lifting the dark veil that keeps other people’s compassion hidden.

I hope you feel better. Thanks for coming to the thread. It means a lot to me.

I don’t know what is with me as of late. I am been so angry about Trump and other things. I’ve lashed out. I think of a quote from one of my favorite movies, 1776.

“Well I have always been dissatisfied, I know that. But lately I find that reek of discontentment, it fills my throat, it floods my brain, sometimes I feel there is no longer a dream but only the discontentment”

That is a reflection of how I’ve been feeling.

I apologize to the forum.

^We all get hard on ourselves, sometimes more than we actually deserve, and man does it take it’s toll. When the atmosphere of one’s life crashes in to the atmosphere of another’s, all hell breaks loose. In this section of the forum, there aren’t any real boundaries, so we find ourselves colliding with a diverse set of circumstances that aren’t all necessarily able to make use of the same fix.

I appreciate you coming and sharing warbler. It means a lot. You are welcome anytime.

I have no problem owning what I say even if some don’t agree with it. I am not always right and I am not perfect. I will make mistakes along the way. I will also do good things along the way. I can learn from my mistakes as long as I am allowed to do so. I am me, imperfect, and flawed.
