Summary
What if all the best parts of the Star Wars movies and TV shows were combined into one Game of Thrones style mega show with intercutting between all the different characters? This project was inspired by similar projects that I have seen such as Star Wars - The Series. The story of season 1 (the prequels) has been radically altered with new motivations for all the characters and a shocking penultimate episode (unreleased as of now). These episodes are based on my film edits The Phantom Menace - Revised and Attack of the Clones - Revised, but I think this project is actually coming out better. The TV format allows more freedom in terms of editing things together. Every episode comes with subtitles, 5.1 Surround Sound, and a custom title sequence.
Season 01
S01E01 - War is Coming (40 minutes)
Description - Anakin Skywalker is torn between his duty to the Jedi Council and his love for a Republic Senator who is in danger of assassination.
Changes - The opening has been tightened up similar to what The Phantom Editor did (no “looks like there was no danger at all”). I added in the deleted scene where Padme adresses the Senate, but I altered it so that she is in favor of the Military Creation Act. If you would like more information on why I did this see the description of this video. I added in the training duel scene from Kenobi with a slight rescore, deepfake, and practice lightsaber SFX. Palpatines Office and Old Friends have been tightened up similar to what Caleb Gamman did. During the scene where Anakin discusses his dreams about his mother with Obi-Wan, I extended their conversation about the meaning of these dreams using AI generated dialog. The AI dialog is only present during the cutaways to Padme’s bedroom. This way I could put a low pass on it, and try to hide the fact that it’s AI. The speeder chase is pulled from Hal9000’s The Approaching Storm. I created a new shot during this sequences to hide the “changling” face as that entire plot point has been removed. The chase ends when Anakin destroys the speeder with his lightsaber using a VFX shot from Caleb Gamman’s edit. I created a new shot during the club scene to cover up dialog about “changling” abilities. I fixed the 2 frames where Coleman Trebor’s arm clips through his robe, and I added practice lightsaber SFX to the Yoda and the Younglings scene. I added in the deleted scene at Padme’s house based on how The Phantom Editor incorporated it. The same goes for the Jedi Landing Platform scene. I also zoomed in the shot of Obi-Wan bowing to Mace to hid the fact that the ship was not tracked into the shot properly.
Special Features - Alternate 5.1 Track Without Practice Lightsaber SFX, Commentary With Porkula, Commentary With Porkula and Friend
S01E02 - Beyond the Outer Rim (49 minutes)
Description - While Anakin continues to have visions of his mother suffering, Obi-Wan discovers a secret clone army crafted for the Republic.
Changes - I removed the line from Lama Su about the number of clones they produced for the same reasons that The Phantom Editor did. I added the deleted scene in Padme’s bedroom, but I did a face replacement to cover up her line about the children she helped dying to keep the mood of the scene light. I removed some dialog about Boba Fett based on what Hal9000 did. I removed the scene where Anakin rides on the animals in the meadow. The scene ends after he says he would be too frightened to tease a Senator. I reworked the scene in Jango’s apartment based on what Something Star Wars Related did in a now deleted YouTube video. I reworked the kiss scene based on what The Phantom Editor did. I made some new AI dialog for Yoda and Mace after their call with Obi-Wan where they discuss Sifo Dyas instead of the fact that their ability to use the force has diminished. I covered up the line “Jedi don’t have nightmares” using a shot from Caleb Gamman. The fight between Obi-Wan and Jango Fett has been majorly reworked with accurate blaster SFX, better timing, steam VFX and SFX on Obi-Wans lightsaber, etc. I added a focus pull to the shot where the Geonosian is watching Obi-Wan. I added in the day for sunset replacement from Caleb Gamman’s edit during the scene where R2 recieves the message from Obi-Wan. I added some blur to the background of several shots during the Tusken slaughter scene. I added an AI line for Mace Windu where he tells Anakin to patch Padme through to the senate for an emergency meeting. Padme joins the meeting via hologram. The AI lines sound better in the edit than they do in the YouTube version because I used an actual Natalie Portman sample for the edit. Dooku does not reveal Darth Sidious to Obi-Wan. He instead gives a more vague warning, and he gives us more information about Sifo-Dyas.
Special Features - Commentary With Porkula, Commentary With Porkula and Friend
S01E03 - Master Kenobi (39 minutes)
Description - Anakin and Padme arrive on Geonosis in an attempt to rescue Obi-Wan.
Changes - The droid factory sequence is pulled from Hal9000’s edit. R2 and C3P0 do not leave the ship. I added in the Dooku interrogating Padme deleted scene. The “I love you” scene is based on what The Phantom Editor did, as well as the “The party’s over” scene. I added in the extended shots of Boba mourning Jango from Book of Boba Fett. This helps cover up the deletion of the R2 and C3P0 scenes. Dooku stays at the arena and the Jedi decide to go back and get him similar to what The Phantom Editor did. I replaced the Death Star Plans with something that resembles the plans we see in the original trilogy. I got rid of Yoda’s lightsaber duel in favor of an extended force battle.
Special Features - Commentary With Porkula, Commentary With Porkula and Friend
S01E04 - The Phantom Menace (83 minutes)
Description - Obi-Wan and his master Qui-Gon discover a boy who is exceptionally strong in the force.
Differences from The Phantom Menace - Revised - This episode actually starts with the arrival on Tatooine. This might sound like it doesn’t work, but Qui-Gon explains why they’re there during the dinner scene. So I think it works, and I think the opening of the film is probably the worst part of it. Similar to The Phantom Menace - Revised, I started with Hal9000’s Cloak of Deception (latest version this time), but I replaced most of the footage with footage from Dazman’s The Phantom Menace - Improved Edition because of the VFX fixes and improvements. I also added Dooku at Qui-Gon’s funeral.
Special Features - Commentary With Porkula
S01E05 - A Desperate Rescue (47 Minutes) [Draft Released]
Description - Obi-Wan and Anakin are sent to rescue Chancellor Palpatine.
Changes - I used this awesome fan film as the cold open for this episode. There is also an alternate version of this episode that uses this fan film as the cold open. I used a lot of footage from DsqrD’s edit because of the incredible VFX work and deleted scene restorations. I borrowed some VFX shots from Caleb Gamman’s Edit as well (Obi-Wan dodging buzz droids, near miss on the entry to The Invisible Hand, etc.). I reincorporated the “Grievous Slaughters a Jedi” scene based on how Bobson Dugnutt incorporated it, but with some heavy trims and a new line for Anakin. I borrowed some ideas from HAL9000 as well (the group gets captured via the elevator shaft, 5.1 upmix of the “A Plot to Destroy the Jedi” deleted scene, etc.). I also used some shots from this AI generated short to add to Anakin’s nightmare, but I used a lot of visual effects and new audio so that it feels right. I also added Yoda Communing with Qui-Gon in this episode. I think adding this earlier can help explain why Yoda is distracted and can’t see Order 66 coming. I also think it adds new meaning to the head rubbing gesture that he does in the following scene.
Special Features - Confronting Grievous Alternate Lines (Deleted Scene)
S01E06 - Knightfall [Unreleased]
Description - As the war comes to a close, the Jedi make a difficult decision.
Changes - I used this fan film as the cold open. The opening scene is Grievous arriving on Utapau. Then it transitions to the opera scene. The only change I made here is a new shot to cover up some dialog about midichlorians. Palpatine now says “He could use the force to create life” instead of the more verbose “He could use the force to influence the midichlorians to create life.”

Season 00
S00E01 - The Phantom Menace - Extended Edition (86 minutes)
Description - Obi-Wan and his master Qui-Gon discover a boy who is exceptionally strong in the force.
Extended Edition Differences - I added back a couple of extra moments during the podrace, and the deleted Sifo-Dyas scene.
Special Features - None
S00E02 - Count Dooku (38 minutes)
Description - Count Dooku grows increasingly frustrated with the Jedi Order and their devotion to rules.
Changes - This is an edit of the 3 Tales of the Jedi episodes featuring Dooku. I cut down on some of the dramatic “stand off” moments during the first episode. I also cut it so that the door closing is what killed Yaddle. I think it works better if it’s a sudden decision made in the heat of the moment. It mirrors Anakin, and I thought the rest of the scene was kind of awkward.
Special Features - Yaddle With Yellow Lightsaber (Deleted Scenes)
S00E03 - Clone Wars (56 minutes)
Description - The Clone Wars have engulfed the galaxy in a full scale war not seen for 1000 years.
Changes - This is an edit of volume 1 of the Clone Wars Micro Series. I used the upmixed 5.1 track from ADigitalMan’s Episode II.V. I cut the scenes with Luminara and Bariss on Ilum and the scenes with Kit Fisto on Mon Cala. Even though I like them in a vacuum, they would add nothing but bloat to the overall episode. I did leave the scenes with Mace Windu on Dantoine because it’s such a fan favorite moment. I also replaced the General Grievous dialog to match how he sounds in Revenge of the Sith.
Special Features - Alternate 5.1 Track With Original Grievous Voice, Commentary With Gendy Tartakovsky
S00E04 - Labyrinth of Evil (43 minutes)
Description - General Grievous attacks Coruscant in an attempt to capture the Chancellor.
Changes - This is an edit of volume 2 of the Clone Wars Micro Series. I trimmed out the Nelvaan plotline to focus more on the Battle of Coruscant. I added a slight blur to the wipe transition into the scene where Dooku is training Grievous because it didn’t have one. I cut the scene where Mace Windu finds Shaak Ti tied up. I also replaced the General Grievous dialog to match how he sounds in Revenge of the Sith.
Special Features - Alternate 5.1 Track With Original Grievous Voice, Commentary With Gendy Tartakovsky, Bryan Andrews, Paul Rudish, and Darrik Bachman
S00E05 - The Cloned Jedi (45 minutes)
Description - Darth Vader’s secret apprentice attempts to uncover his past.
Changes: I really didn’t want this to feel like you were watching somebody play a video game. So, I put a lot of effort into editing this so that there is no actual gameplay, and I tried to minimize the use of in game rendered cutscenes by using the trailers. I also added a lot of chromatic aberration, color grading, and motion blur to make everything feel like it’s all part of the same episode. This is meant to be experienced as it’s own episode and not necessarily a sequel to the first game. Whether or not Starkiller is actually a clone is more in question. We never see any of the clones in the vats do anything in this edit. So, it makes Vader’s claim more questionable. I did a lot of visual effects to fix continuity errors and extend certain sequences. I combined footage from the PS3 version (which I recorded myself), the Wii version (sourced from here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QyuFYzbgnF8), and even some shots from the movies. I still wouldn’t really consider this “canon” to A Game of Clones because it ends on a cliffhanger that will likely never be resolved, and the story is kind of lore breaking. However, it is a fun watch with lot’s of cool moments.
Special Features - Commentary With Porkula, Alternate Ending (Deleted Scene), Trailer
Since this episode is based on a videogame, I was able to upload it to YouTube, and I will provide links to it here.

Suggested Watch Orders
The Most Polished Version (Recommended)
- S01E01 - War is Coming
- S01E02 - Beyond the Outer Rim
- S01E03 - Master Kenobi
- S01E04 - The Phantom Menace
- S01E05 - A Desperate Rescue
- S01E06 - Knightfall
- S01E07 - Fire and Blood
The reason I recommend this way is because it preserves a lot of mysteries. For example, it’s made very clear that Palpatine is the sith lord in The Phantom Menace, but this isn’t really the case during S01E01 - S01E03. He seems pretty nice in the first few episodes and he plays the “peace” card several times. Seeing Dooku at Qui-Gon’s funeral is also less jarring because we’ve already been introduced to him. There’s a lot I could say about this, but I think it just re-contextualizes The Phantom Menace in a way that I really like. It adds some tragedy to moments like Anakin having to leave his mother because we know what happens because of it.
The Haunting of Bly Manor Order / The Acolyte Order
- S01E01 - War is Coming
- S01E02 - Beyond the Outer Rim
- S00E02 - Count Dooku
- S01E03 - Master Kenobi
- S00E03 - Clones Wars
- S00E04 - Labyrinth of Evil
- S01E05 - A Desperate Rescue
- S01E06 - Knightfall
- S01E04 - The Phantom Menace - Extended Edition
- S01E07 - Fire and Blood
The benefit of this order is that you get a more complete story. The Sifo-Dyas mystery is finally resolved, You get to see Dooku’s backstory, and you get to see more of the Clone Wars. The drawback is that you have to jump between live action and different animation styles, and you have to jump around the timeline. The Phantom Menace - Extended Edition also has some scenes with unfinished VFX.
The Chronological Order
- S01E04 - The Phantom Menace - Extended Edition
- S00E02 - Count Dooku
- S01E01 - War is Coming
- S01E02 - Beyond the Outer Rim
- S01E03 - Master Kenobi
- S00E03 - Clones Wars
- S00E04 - Labyrinth of Evil
- S01E05 - A Desperate Rescue
- S01E06 - Knightfall
- S01E07 - Fire and Blood
The benefit of this order is that it’s chronological. The drawback is that the mysteries that are set up in S01E01 - S01E03 are all spoiled immediately. I would only recommend this order if you’ve already seen all of this content before.
These are all recommended watch orders, but you can obviously watch them however you want. There’s no episode numbers during the title sequences. So, you can just rename the files.

Original Post (7/16/2024)
This will be an alternate, dare I say better way to watch my Star Wars edits. I think the TV format would be a good way to re-introduce some of the content that didn’t make it into my film edits. I saw that mikebailey65 did something similar, but I have a few things I would do differently. The name for this edit comes from another edit that I saw on TheFaneditNetwork, but since it got taken down, I haven’t been able to find it. It was just called “Game of Clones.” So, I’m calling mine “A Game of Clones.” This is still in the idea phase. I’ve created a couple of test episodes, but it’s not close to being done. I just wanted to post this to get some feedback/ideas.
Season 1
The first season will obviously cover the prequels, but I would like to change the order. The first 2 or 3 episodes will be Attack of the Clones - Revised (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CKQaL_qYroA), but then it will flashback to The Phantom Menace for one episode. This will allow me to trim down The Phantom Menace even further, and it will allow me to include some scenes that belong in The Phantom Menace chronologically without spoiling anything for the Attack of the Clones content.
For example, this scene (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZG4vK3uxOIE - based on a concept from Snooker) would be jarring if this episode was the pilot, but if we’ve already been properly introduced to Dooku, then his appearance at the end of the flashback episode would not be jarring.
The same goes for this scene (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FGEJwmNYFOs). I’m not sure if I have the skills to finish the VFX on this, but I would love to include it because it would resolve the Sifo Dyas mystery, and it would be cool to have Hiroyuki Sanada in Star Wars.
The final episodes of season 1 will obviously be Revenge of the Sith - Revised which I won’t talk about here because it’s not finished yet, and I don’t want to spoil anything.
Season 2
The second season will cover some very select pieces of content from Andor, PixelJoker95’s Kenobi - Trials of the Master (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rw1qBIPsW9Q), and DigModification’s The Coaxium Heist. I like Andor a lot, but the pacing is just too slow, especially in the first few episodes. Other than that, this season will be pretty heavy on Andor content. I know it technically occurs later in the timeline according to official canon, but I’m looking to recreate the Game of Thrones style where it follows multiple characters. So, I don’t want a full season of just Andor.
I don’t think Obi-Wan and Vader should meet at all between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope. So, the Kenobi content will be very light, and just used to check up on him. There’s a lot I’d like to do in terms of force visions for both Obi-Wan and Yoda during their time in exile. For example, I would like to use this scene (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6601OUxWrR8) as the opening to one of the episodes.
I think The Coaxium Heist is really fun. So, I wouldn’t change much about it, but I think it would be fun if the end of one of the episodes used this song (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HeMPAytL0QQ) for the credits.
Season 3
This season will cover Rogue One, A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi. I don’t have as much to say about this season because there’s already so many great edits of these films. I’ll probably use DigModification’s Rise of the Rebellion and Adywan’s Revisited Saga as a base.
This is my first post on this site. I mainly do YouTube, but I’ve been meaning to check it out. There’s some really great content that comes from here. So, let me know your thoughts on this idea.
