4K83 remastered (Released)

Welcome to the thread dedicated to 4K83 remastered. 4K83 has been remastered in two ways:

  1. A brand new reel by reel color grading. The colors were corrected using my own 16mm print of Return of the Jedi, and a number of 35mm frames of a 1983 print as a color reference.

  2. Topaz VEAI was used to reduce grain, and enhance the details, resulting in better clarity and detail.

Aside from the above processing none of the shots of 4K83 have been altered or replaced.

A big thanks to the many people who worked on the original 4K83 releases! Without them this project would not have been possible.

More information about this project can be found on thestarwarstrilogy.com forums.

This looks amazing. It looks exactly like what a modern release of the film should be. I just watched v1.6 of this project, and I was hugely impressed. Your work on the color grading is fantastic, and the level of polish is mindblowing.

Does anyone know where I can locate all 3 films from this project? Thanks!

I tried to access the site, but it says I need to both register and have an invitation code, which I don’t have.

Any of the opening posts in the three main 4Kxx threads on here will be of help with invitation codes, mate.
