Alright, Lucas has done some good things in the past; but he still has a terrible attitude about everything.

And no, the SE did not physically hurt me when it came out.

It physically hurt me.

But it was the prequels that gave birth to an existential pain.

If it’s happening at all next year, it’s definitely not happening in May only a month after Rogue One hits blu-ray. It wouldn’t happen until September/October, which has always been their release window for the OT on home video.

Dropping a trailer for it on May 25th? That I can see happening.

Kurtz is still the only reason SW was ever great to begin with.

It’s almost 2017 and we still have no legal version of the real OT. There are people who are going to turn 20 who have lived in a world where only the SE has ever existed. The prequels are being more and more accepted each passing year, despite being literally some of the worst films ever made.

This should disturb any rational, clear thinking person.

Lucasfilm is run by Kathleen Kennedy, who is a producer for Spielberg, who as we all know is close to Lucas. It’s not in their interest at all to give us the original versions at all.

There must be more to life than this…

I’ll guess the announcement will happen in April at Star Wars Celebration in Orlando, with a release towards the end of the year. They did it the same way with the Blu-ray set back in 2011.

Just food for thought in relation to the new Official 4k ANH, I think it’s odd/interesting that Disney choose to make the 2004 SEs the Canon version, which makes sense since the original and 97 SEs are OOP. I like that they didn’t go with the 2011, may seem insignificant but gives me .01% hope for Disney’s first release to be unaltered with the exception of ANH crawl and other legitimate fixes like matte lines and whatnot.
