I'd love to see the details, but FanRes won't let me register.
If anyone is looking for 35mm prints to use for restorations, a massive set of prints is going up for sale, details are on FanRes.

if you are looking to do 35mm restorations maybe try mallrats, chasing amy it says 35mm blow up from 16mm,and jay and silent bob strike back their blu rays are sub par.
if you are looking to make requests at least try to do so in a somewhat coherent matter the way you are posting is sub par.

Suggestions for potential restorations are a good idea, there is a forum precisely for that on FanRes, so that would be a great place to post a request.
I personally am not looking for more projects, but thought the list on FanRes is a great resource for anyone else looking to undertake a preservation project.

the appology wasn't directed at you it was too the people who pulled my posts off fanres.com it was an angry apology. because i was ticked that they didn't even politely tell me i was posting in the wrong place and i was just making a suggestion. but i would like to know is there a place i can make requests? i do apology to you without angry of course
Feel free to put any requests in this thread.
Some boards are very specific with placement of threads, to keep them easy to read and follow. Some moderators keep a very tight ship, so don't take it personally. It does make for a much easier to navigate site, but I also enjoy the more free flowing sites, they can be more fun, though it does often make it hard to find information. There are all kinds out there.
I tend to ramble, and go off topic all the time, and post in the wrong place, so am quite used to my posts being removed without warning :)

do you know who'd take my requests to heart and maybe make a project out of them?
No, but post them here, one at a time, take your time to write the post and detail which film, and why you think it would be a good restoration project (i.e. what is it specifically about the BD or DVD release that is no good/changed/could be better etc., and someone might agree and run with it.

I hate to break it to you dude, but I learned a long time ago that if you want a project done right, you have to do it yourself. Some people would probably help you (if you were succinct and to the point with what you needed help doing) but eventually everybody has to at least try for themselves. I think that's why you've been getting cold receptions - you want people to do something for you for free. Don't be afraid - it's not that hard once you have one or two under your belt. :)
Well, yeah, if I could have found someone else to tackle what I was doing, I absolutely would have them do it instead!
Regardless though, feel free to make a case for a restoration, in detail and why you think it is important, and others might feel the same way and run with it, or you form a team with interested individuals and work on it as part of a group, or whatever.
But I'm always interested in hearing what films really need a preservation effort, and why.

which movies the ones i asked about in this thread?
Anyone on this?
mallrats 35mm film print restoration needed because blu ray has dnr and edge enhancement.
chasing amy 35mm or 16mm i don't know because it said the print released in theaters was the 35mm blow up. print needed because of blu ray has dnr don't know if it had edge enhancement done.
jay and silent bob strike back 35mm print restoration needed because the blu ray looks like a dvd upscale.
Usually the 35mm blowup from a 16mm neg will still have more detail than a 16mm print made from the same neg, so the 35 would probably give better results.
