24-Day 6 Thread (SPOILERS)

Time
The first two hours of 24 Day 6 just finished airing. For those who watch it, what did you think? Personally, I think this shaping up to be one hell of a season. It's great so far. Starting in the middle of the terrorist attacks is a great idea, and I can't wait to see more! Day 5 is a tough act to follow, but in just 2 short hours, day 6 is holding its own. In fact, comparing the season premieres for days 5 and 6, day 6 is a much stronger opening.

What does everyone else here think?

loved the first 4 hours but my only gripe is..why set up Jack's abduction at the end of day 5 only to have written him straight back into the show in the first 10 minutes!! So much potential for a great storyline gone to waste

Last season was incredible.

From what I've seem so far...this season already has me hooked. It's going to be a hell of a ride.

I hated Day 5. I hated the way they treated the characters, I hated the rather outlandish storyline that I quite honestly can't even really remember anymore, and I hated the rushed ending, which now seems far too much like a gimmick than it did even then (the whole idea takes up a whopping 15 minutes of time - 5 at the end of Day 5, 10 at the beginning of Day 6).

Day 6 on the other hand is shaping up quite nicely - I like that they're dissecting Jack's character a lot more than they have in the past, and I like the bold move of blowing up part of LA in the first 4 hours. We'll see where this leads, though, because Day 5 had me - cautiously - hooked after the first 10 minutes.

I swear, those last 15 minutes of the four hour premiere might have been the best ever, and definately Kiefer's best moment, crying over by the tree. It was excellent, and I was amazed the bomb actually went off. What makes this season so powerful is that it feels so real. When you don't have the good guys winning every step of the way, it makes the show much less predictable and much more suspensful. By Day 5, which was excellent, some suspense was, sadly, lost, simply because we were so used to the good guys never losing that we knew they never would. But so far, day 6 has been completely unpredictable, and it makes for the most powerful season opening yet.
