2006 OT DVD: Bad OOT disc

After all this time I finally got a copy of the OT that I can deal with, and E4 locks up during the death star approach. What a let down. I will return the disc tomorrow, of course, but I just wanted to throw up this thread to see if anyone else had experienced any disc quality issues. Other than the fact that the disc is defective, it looks great

I fear that like most SW releases, we are going to hear about a lot of quality control issues as people get a chance to watch what they bought. I sure hope I am wrong...

No, I didn't have any freeze-ups on SW. I did hear a "pop" during the layer change (but it only happens on my Sony player- my RCA player doesn't do it). Somebody else reported a 'pop' as well.

I'm about halfway through ESB and it's OK, so far.
