haha, no its not going to be blu-ray yet... though at the moment I am downloading a 1080p version of A New Hope which I hope... in the coming months I can perfect with 3D. The upload only has 4 hours left...

Sounds like phun, looking forward to seeing what's been done. Could you provide any information on these 'new scripts'? curious how they work.
Ok, so I guess we don't get to see the VHS to Blu conversion. Too bad. But what I really want to know is, did you find someone to buy you a Blu-ray burner?
Also, is this no longer a 1984 Project?
First I am converting a 1080P version to 3D, just to make sure that the project is even realistic. After which I will convert the VHS and do a lot of converting and hopefully I can turn the 1984 version into a 3D blu-ray.
The first very low quality version can be found here, I would suggest keeping it small in size, like for an ipod. http://megaupload.com/?d=PVIDWGQC

Nope, but I found a friend that had bought one.
So...a friend with benefits?
i guess you could say that... :)
Any updates?
Actually I do, I have just finished my first copy of Star Wars 3D using Wookiegroomers HD version. This just shows proof of concept. Please, visit the link to check it out, its in anaglyph (red/cyan glasses required) It honestly doesn't look as bad as I thought it would.

Comments? If not, I will continue my work with making a stereoscopic version, along with getting myself a VHS to Digital converter.
Until then,

Video not found FAIL.
Yup same: 'Video Not Found ____ StarWars.mp4' error here as well.
I gave up waiting after 6 minutes of a "video loading " message.
That video was our last hope...
...no, there's anothe Who am I kidding, there's no hope to be found around these parts.
If worse comes to worse we'll go papercraft 3D HD VHS:

...but, on a separate note, kamyio, are you going to release the 1080p conversion to 3D as a separate project too. It should prove interesting... I don't think anyone has done anything like it before.
One time I used a magnifying glass and a mirror to convert my butt to 3D . . . then put it on VHS Bluray upscaled to 2160p. It's only available as a rare limited edition gold-plated release, though, so you'll have to look on ebay and see if there's any left going for less than a thousand or so.
It was a special project for TV's Frink, as a reward for helpfully pointing out to me that gullible was written on the ceiling. Looks like he's more interested in this than all my hard work, though . . .

Sorry dude, I can't pass up the opportunity to watch a VHS copy of Star Wars in 1080p, but 2160p sounds just a bit fishy.
Hello? Video still not found. I really want to

That's the whole point. The longer the thread, the greater the lolz.
Please read this: http://originaltrilogy.com/forum/topic.cfm/Star-Wars-3D-Conversion/post/470518/#TopicPost470518
I will be opening a new Topic as now I actually have something completed and this Topic is rather spammed to hell.
Wait I confess myself a bit confused Kamyio. I can understand about not using this thread but is your Wookiegroomer HD to 3D project related at all to Neptune's? Did you just post there because they were similar projects?
I beat him to it, here is a screenshot from another movie to give you an idea of the quality...
