I got my cld-d703 for $250 on eBay and you can get LDs pretty cheap there too-sometimes just a couple of bucks (the rarer titles go for more, of course). LPs are very inexpensive on eBay nowadays as well (depending on the title).

Well, a mate of mine gave (yes gave) me his LD copies of Texass Chainsaw Massacre and Natural Born Killers Boxset today because he knows I've still got my LD player set up. He tried to sell them on eBay but no one bid on them so he gave them to me for free.

With friends like that, being a LD collector is very, very easy.
