To be honest, I don't know the guy, so I couldn't say. That being said, where did you dig up that old fossil? LOL!

Oops, you're right. That's what I meant to say. My bad!

I'm trying to post, and watch my one-year-old at the same time (and it doesn't help my concentration when my keyboard produces the odd extra letter here and there after having spilled water on it a few days ago. )

What's the latest news on the XO project?

Is it better to get info from the Zion and MeBeJedi threads?

Have you all pulled your resources together with Laserman and doing 'only' one version now?

Laserman, is probably turned off by doing this because of the MUCHO-MEGA-BUCK$ he has spent trying to get this thing going. I think my original offer to help w/ funding can be upped a little if necessary. (but that's only peanuts to the amount he's spent)

He's not turned off (especially since there have been a few donations made at the X0 Project website, for those who are interested ) There's still a lot of work to be done - that's all.

So. Is the X0 project not actually being released but just a demonstration of how to do your own transfer. I thought mverta was already doing that. Why would I donate so that someone else can make their own great transfer for themselves?

The X0 will be the source of several releases, like the one Zion does.

I think what you guys are doing to preserve the original OT in the best form possible is fantastic. I'm a big supporter of your cause at heart so I thought that I would help out with a small donation. Its not much but I hope that this helps and hopefully I'll be able to give you more in the future. Keep up the fantastic work and know that everyone of us true fans really appreciates your hard work and stellar effort.

I just made a donation, too, and I really appreciate all the work everyone is doing.
I haven't posted in a very long time, mainly because I don't have much too add. But if there's ever a PAL to NTSC project, I could offer lots of help. I'm currently doing that with a Firefly project I'm working on and it's going great. (25 fps --> 23.976 fps sync'd with the NTSC audio, weee!!) If anyone can come up with way to get X0 like video from a PAL laserdisc player, I'd be happy to donate to that cause too (time and money!).

Thanks to everyone who has made a donation so far -- large or small they really help us out. Right now, the money is going toward keeping our web site up (which will become much larger in the next few weeks ) and to help pay our shipping costs for things we send between one another. I'm very far behind at the moment having just gotten back from vacation, but rest assured you donators will be rewarded in the near future.
