I just realized something. I've noticed that this board seems to have gotten very quiet lately. I think it's because the mods here are ban happy monguls. Am I wrong?

So the mods shouldn't ban irritating posters because it makes for more posts per day? That's a stupid idea.

Do you think it wise of you to call the mods "ban happy monguls" in open forum?
Is it that you just don't care if you get banned or are you not that bright?
Either way this isn't an appropiate topic and should be locked.
If you have a problem with a mod or his actions you should
PM him in private...remember we are all guests here and are welcome as long as we are pleasent company...

You mean, "the boards have returned to a state of normalcy after the mods weeded out all the idiots."

Yes, i agree with that statement. Thank god our mods aren't 13 year olds like at TF.N.

Well, as long as he's not being overly offensive he should be able to air his opinion. Personally I have no problem with the mods here and never had, and the fact that Rebelone can make a comment like that without being banned has pretty much answered his own question.

I know at least one board where telling someone to go to hell is viewed as a threat,and i was banned just for that.

If they were so ban happy then the Star Wars threads wouldn't be resembling TFN so much. What is up with everyone pissing on the mods here all the time. These boards have never been that controlled and honestly they still aren't. Unfortunately there have been a few incidents lately that have left a lot of people somewhat at odds with the mods. That mods are NOT ban happy, it is the people who are constantly saying they are that are making it seem that way. Nobody gets banned from here without warning.

im still here...
i check the forums everyday...

but i mean lets all be honest here..
what else is there to say about star wars?

i check the off topic forum most of all. but the problem i see with that part of the forum is that its not as mature as i would like it to be.
im a member on other forums and post much much more often just because everyone seems to have the same mature sense of humor.

as for star wars... unless its about preserving it, what else can you really say.
and lets be honest here. we've gone through so many conversations on here that i dont think there is much left to say. on top of that, i dont even care for the movies as much as i used to what with all the shit thats went on lately with it.

i think the real reason why the boards are so quiet is because we've ran out of things to say.
just my opinion anyway.

believe me there are many things that i would love to talk about on here but i just dont think the mods would find them suitable with the younger crowd around.

The preservation/ fan edit section is still alive and kicking. So is the general SW discussion, though it is unfortunatly very TFNish these days.

You mods are a bunch of meanie beenie fo-feenies. You are rude, crude and thoroughly unattractive.

And you need a better tailor too.

(I just wanted to act petulant and childish to illustrate a point. Damn, my preschooler behaves better in class than some of the newer users on here.)

Going into 'The preservation/ fan edit section' is like reading an episode of Star Trek Voyager....so much techno-babble

Don't get me wrong, I have nothing against the geeks of the world discussing and sharing their geekness, I just don't have a clue half the time on what they're on about.

I do like the fan edits though, especially ADM's and Darth Editous'. Very good stuff.

Sorry, I'm just feeling a little low of late...Way, way too much bad things happening to me in the real world. Never rains but it certainly pisses down on me.

When there is a half-decent thread in the Star Wars section I post in it, but that is rare. That doesn't mean I don't check it out multiple times a day, hoping for a worthwhile discussion I can be a part of. And as for the preservation threads, well I'm with Hotrod on that one, but again, I still check it regularly and post when I have something to say. So in conclusion, your 'edge of the world' comment is unfounded.

You might also notice that I was siding with the mods and defending ot.com in general in my first post in this thread.
