SQUIRREL FACE = TERRIBLE
GOD!!!
What are you guys saying? I thought TFA was way better than the prequels like heck it was better then SPECTRE which was my second most anticipated movie of 2015 and honestly I say this movie is just as good as ESB which is the best movie in the OT.
By the way Han shot first.

Some people have very poor personal definitions of what constitutes as quality.

I mean seriously though, the idea that Luke and Han both were thought of as legends more than real people, and the look on Rey’s and Finn’s faces when they realized both were the people the legends said (and Han the legend was standing right in front of them) was a great part of the movie.

I agree on several points (I wouldn’t put it even with ESB), but what exactly is the relevance of SPECTRE?
EDIT: Nvm, misread post.

Oh definitely. I think it’s clear that none of the big three Rebels ever went into the public light very much. Leia was probably the best-known of the three but she kept being an underground resistance fighter, Han went back to smuggling (not a profession of publicity), and Luke was always secretive and then fell off the map after his failure with Ben. None of them were ever more than legends after Endor.
Plus the galaxy is massive. It’s not a shock that Luke would see the Jedi as legends having grown up on backwater Tatooine despite the order falling just before his birth, so it’s not shocking to me that the exploits of three people in a massive galaxy would be legends for kids like Rey and Finn.

I agree. Had a moment like that been in the PT Rey and Finn would have given a smile or some other type of facial expression that wouldn’t have fully express admiration and astonishment and that would have been it. What could have been a joyous moment would have fell flat due to how bland human interactions are in the PT…unless it’s something goofy or angry.
As it pertains to our friend’s interesting comparison I don’t see it. At all but we can chalk it up to another one of those things Mala says to get a rise out of people.
I mean I can assume we’d all make the same face if we found out the guy we just met was Han Solo.

Ok, well now I see it.

The eyes maybe in terms of size but squirrels have eyes that are far apart.
I don’t want to rip on Daisy (really like her), but I can see it…

Not everyone
this is how some people would react as showing emotion, having optimism etc. isn’t what’s rad these days.

I was just kidding, I didn’t look that closely. It’s a stupid comment that is not worthy of consideration.

Daisy Ridley confirmed for Marvel’s probable/eventual Squirrel Girl film?

I think the fan rumor is Anna Kendrick.

So the only new deleted scenes are more Leia stuff and Unkar Plutt’s revenge? I’m not sure why I was expecting more, I can’t think of anything else that’s missing.
Well there’s the question of whether they filmed C-3PO getting his golden arm back but not sure if that’s just speculation. Also speculation is whether or not they ever filmed the Snoke dialogue about Vader, but even if they did it’s a small bit and not a full scene.
Obviously there’s alternate shots and stuff from the trailer but those things never get released.
There is the Maz at Resistance base bits but I believe that’s part of a larger subplot that has been supplanted in the final film by reshoots. So not a surprise they wouldn’t include that.
The only other thing is that the scene with the stormtroopers in Maz’s basement that they released is clearly truncated. So hopefully they’ll lengthen that (but somehow I doubt it). The scene is fucking weird though so I guess it doesn’t really matter.
Saw this again the other day and it’s even worse now. Almost as bad as the prequels as time passes. Absolute garbage. Will not be watching it again.
TFA is the equal of ROTJ – ie. nice production values and some decent character moments aside, neither are very good.

I dunno, I think both are pretty damn good. I’d give both a seven out of ten.
Not enough people read the EU.
I give TFA 6/10 and ROTJ 10/10.

I’m surprised you rated both films as high as you did.
EDIT:
I retract my statement about you rating ROTJ because I remember you saying you don’t have any problems with it…somehow.

They digitally covered up Natalie Portman for the Your Highness trailer. 😉
I really miss there was no room for a “Slave Padmé” scene in the PT…
Duracell sock confirmed.
