Yes the DTS was from the blu-ray and it's easy to sync it, not that one needs to if they get this other version.
If anyone is looking for this movie it's listed as Back to the Future 1985 Special Edition

Well, how can you sync it? I'm worried if the DTS is reencoded.

I've demuxed the DTS with gMKVExtractGUI and it said there were no delay added.
It doesn't always say a delay was added.

AMC Theaters participated in a 25th anniversary event in October 2010 - I believe I have a special poster that was either given out or sold. How do we know that wasn't the DCP? It certainly wasn't film - the only other possibility would have been Blu-ray.
The version shown there had the "squeezed" end credits - does this alleged DCP version?
I saw the 25th Anniversary release and it was the Blu-ray transfer, it also had the credits with the squished aspect ratio.
Thank you so much for the DCP. Awesome quality.

Hello there,
I've been reading some threads on this site for some time because of Harmy's Star Wars Despecialized Editions, and I just now created an account because I cannot find this great version of Back to the Future on Usenet. Could anyone help me find it? What the hell should I type in Binsearch or NZBClub to get that bloody NZB file? I thank you in advance.
So I have always felt the DVD's 5.1 track sounded better than the Blu-ray. I've ripped it but having a hard time syncing the track. Anyone want to take a crack at it or point me to a simple guide for syncing a DVD AC3 track to Blu-ray.
I'm guessing it may have to do with NTSC nonsense...
“Alright twinkle-toes, what’s your exit strategy?”

You can adjust the delay with delaycut or eac3to. You have to adjust the delay, because the movie starts at a different point than the DVD. And I believe the movie itself is 1 frame shorter or longer than the DVD version, so the AC3 will never be perfectly in sync, only almost.
If the AC3 is from a PAL DVD then there really is a problem. You can't adjust the playback speed without extracting and reencoding the AC3.
But does it worth all the trouble? It seems very unlikely to me that the AC3 would sound better.

What do you think is better about it, borisanddoris? Different dynamics?
That's probably the best way to describe it. It just felt right. If I can get it to sync, it'd allow me to do a better A/B comparison as well.
I thought I had it, but it keeps drifting. I'm very much an amateur at this but I'll keep at it. If anyone wants to take a stab, I can up the .AC3 file somewhere.

I'm no expert but you can send me a copy I will try to take a look at it. Even though the soundtracks should match perfectly between the LD, DVD, Blu-ray, DCP, etc. I find they rarely do and there is always drift.
I had never worked with a 29.97 source so I didn't know if it had something to do with that. I'll up it as soon as I get home and send a PM.

Can someone send me a PM with the DCP with LD audio?
Just wondering if anyone has the HDTV version of BTTF III uploaded anywhere? All the links on tehparadox seem to be down
They are all the wrong frame rate and not very good looking
I am having trouble converting the MKV to Bluray. When I played it in my BD player it the video was stuttering in places. I used tsMuxer to do it. Should I be using something else to get it done proper?
Have you tried to check/uncheck "Add picture timing info" and "Continually insert SPS/PPS"? Sometime it works!

I always use eac3to to demux the mkv then mux the files with tsmuxer. I found i would have issues just remuxing an mkv directly to m2ts with tsmuxer.

Are there any settings I have to change in either program or is it just straight demux and then mux?
Yep that's all i ever did, no setting changes.
And I just associate it with tsMuxer?
Once the files are demuxed with eac3to then mux them together with tsMuxer. Not that i ever burn files to a BD to play in a BD player.
