this is freakin amazing!!!!!!
Breathtakingly beautiful work! Thank you for sharing this.
Excellent work, ady!
A picture is worth a thousand words. Post 102 is worth more.
I’m late to the party, but I think this is the best song. Enjoy!

Amazing work !
If Mega is stopping at 99%, pause the download and resume it, it worked for me and my friend.
Holy Shnikies..
Breathtaking work Ady. Anytime I start to get frustrated with how long it takes, this clip will settle my pulse. The internets will probably burn out when you finally release this.
Also, SERIOUS thank you to your family who have had to accommodate to the props you build and film. Though you set out to simply make versions of these movies that YOU wanted to see, you're writing yourself into the history of the Saga with this work. Thank you!
*edit* I downloaded with Chrome on a Mac, worked fine.
Mega suggests that you use Chrome for best results.

This ^. Other browsers can work but in my experience Chrome always does.

I had no problem downloading from firefox. Took me about 3 min.
Anyway, the new canyon shot looked great Ady. I also liked the dirt that the tie fighters lazers blasted up. I didn't care to much for camera shake when the star destroyers scraped against each other. It just didn't feel natural in my opinion.
Everything else looked great. Amazing job Ady!

Just wanted to add that I really appreciated the little details, such as the flying debris of the TIE fighters that got consumed by the explosion after they crashed into the canyon walls. Spectacular work
Looks great, but I have to ask a stupid question:
Why was the canyon changed in the first place? I don't actually remember a reason being posted in this thread, and I just checked the first page, but none was given.
Is there a specific error during the canyon part? Did the canyon not match the surrounding asteroid landscape or something like that?

Brilliant work Ady.
This is something small, possibly unnoticed by most, but in the original shot of the canyon the way that the explosion was composited (poorly) made it appear to shake, even though the rest of the image around it was not shaking. This always gave the shot a sense of shakiness FROM the explosion, even if that is not what is actually occurring in the shot. Seeing Ady's new shot kinda made me miss the shakiness, if that makes sense.
Other than that, it looks awesome. I can't tell from my computer monitor, but was there any grain added to blend it with the film of the original footage on either side?

Nice!

Fantastic, Ady!!! But IMHO, I like how the TIEs impacted on the walls on the previous version, with more frames. The "split up" movement now seems too fast for the flowing movement of the TIEs, it was smoother before and it worked really nice :)

Completely agree. A bit too much like a pinball machine now. I would say to try something in between, but there are so few frames difference that might be impossible.
i did the new impacts just to prove a point. people were complaining it was too slow ( even though there was only about 3 frames in it) Now, i exactly matched it to the frame, as it was in the original, now its too fast. It just goes to show how deceiving things can be.
I actually do like the new version better but it could well be just because I'm used to it looking more like that.
And I'm glad you tweaked the red markings, it integrates much better now.
It's worth noting that a lot of the Facebook people thought the Tie impacts in the previous clip were too slow. I think what's going on here is that because the audio isn't final and the sound of the explosion occurs slightly before we see it happen it's making people think the Tie movement is too slow, when in reality the audio is just marginally too early.
I think the first version looks the best. Great work Adywan!!
