There are lots of real world examples like the GPO Tower and the Toronto Tower naturally this being the Star Wars universe where doors slam at near supersonic speeds there would have to be some kind of advanced technology to stop everyone in the room getting sick and the furniture from falling all over the place (the room is relatively small and even a gentle rotation would have to faster than most of those towers to be noticable on the outside) but Star Wars isn't science fiction it's space fantasy so I can live with that.
Here's a home that does the opposite, one window but at the push of a button you can have a bath looking out of it, go to sleep looking out of it or sit on a nice sofa looking out of it (it better be a good view) :

I also got "east" and "west" screwed up in some of the captions. For what it's worth, I corrected those too.

Not bad, not bad at all. I see potentional. But for continuity's sake, Ady'd have to add it to ANHR too, and that's not happening...

You can always move the building to the right and bring it a little closer (so we can see Leia a little better)
Something like this:
make the dome in the center glass, as well as the purple cylinder on the right edge...

Not necessarily, Doubleofive. There were no really dark scenes where a lightsaber's glow would stand out quite that much in ANH.

wow, darth piccolo thats impressive (..most impressive). i think it works especially well on the close up of lukes face, and to be honet, should ady implement it, i agree that he wouldnt need to re-edit ANH again, as this particular fight takes place in a much darker setting. even if ady just edit that close up of lukes face, thatd be enough.
would be a great thing for ROTJ, just to make the colours a bit more interesting.

Great vid, DP! And I agree that there would be no need to add it into ANH:R. What's done is done, but this could potentially be added to ESB:R, especially as the battles are in such dark surroundings.

Those scenes were great, DP. It was a nice touch. Could I recommend maybe redoing the clip with a before and after of the effects? It might make it more convincing. Just a thought.

Also refer to Vaderios' lightsabre reflection still images; the video has Luke's face get darker when the sabre lights his right side up (compare the orangish backlight on the right side of Luke's face to when the sabre glow begins). In Vaderios' similar image, Luke's right side is almost white from the light.

Hey all,
I'd like to see the carbon freeze chamber music put back in. However, a selectable alternate sound track for that scene would be cool or any other scene with deleted music.

The still above is just before the switch to the other side view of the building on the left and we see Leia walking in the window, this is a moving shot so could we assume Leia's new building design is on the the other side of the left building which was originally supposed to be hers. It's all with keeping this shot of the fly thru, would hate to see it gone.
In short, this new more accurate building could be put next to the old one here, without changing the moving fly thru shots, I believe.

Interesting take Sevb32, would hate to see it go too....some of the ideas that have been tossed around like a brand new matte with new architecture specifically designed to fit what we see next inside could be the solution, by the way would love to see that matte ;)

The next official clip should be the trailer he has mentioned, so there should be a mix of different scenes in it. And if you're thinking about seeing some 'interactive lighting' from the sabers in the clip[s], well, we don't even know if he's going ahead with something like that or not yet. ;) I'm sure he'll pop in and say what he thinks on the idea.

RE: Lightsaber reflections/glow
I remember discussing this back in the ANH:R days, especially in regards to Ben in the Cantina. Someone did a mock-up that looked extremely convincing back then, but it was not to be incorporated into the final revision. Maybe things have changed for Ady and he would want to give it a go this time around. This is an effect I'm 100% in favor (or is that favour?). As long as it is pulled off right (and this is Ady we're talking about, so I would expect nothing less), ambient glow bouncing off the environment would add more realism and cast a mood in certain scense, expecially inside the carbon freeze chamber.
If it's possible, I say do it!
