Well not much has been happening on the DVD front this week. I've got a pretty bad chest infection which has stopped me from doing almost everything this week. I've only been able to work a few minutes per day on the DVD and also on the painting for the cover. I've got a few navigation errors to sort out in the DVD structure but that shouldn't take long. The menus now have a new font that closer matches the official DVD's (thanks to whoever suggested this, can't find the post right now so i can't remember who it was).
The cover is taking so long, a lot longer than i originally thought. But it is getting there. I decided to give you all a sneak peak at what its going to look like. It's nowhere near finished and i'd say there is probably another couple of weeks work left to do on the painting, but here's what it looks like so far: (plus hopefully this will stop the dick-heads that have emailed me saying that i'm bullshitting about doing a painting for the cover and that i'm just delaying the release to be a dick. losers.)

Adywan, you shouldn't take crap from anybody.....maybe you could PM Moth3r with copies of the harassment emails and get these bastards banned....hopefully the mods here would support you in this way....

Well i haven't had any PM's they're just emailing me and are too chicken to say who they are. I don't actually think that they are all from this site though. the edit generated a lot of anger on other sites and my email address is easily available. I just ignore them because, after all, i have a life and they don't. :)

I don't understand the anger. I mean, as much as most of us around here love it, its just a fan edit. You're not running around the internet and press, saying how awesome it is and how every copy of ANH should be replaced with your own. If they don't like it, they can just ignore it. Three months ago I didn't even know things like this could exist, they can do the same.

The DVD-5's are fantastic, the only real upgrade for the DVD-9 are bonus features. And its not like they're paying for it anyway, so no one has any right to complain.

You work hard giving your hard work away for free, and people still complain like you're George Lucas forcing them to ignore the original versions and only recognizing the 2004 DVDs.

I can't wait to show my friend the edit tonight. He's already asked for his own copy and one for another friend. I even gave a copy to one of my bosses the other day.

It never ceases to amaze me how many dickheads are out there, Ady. I've said it before and I'll say it again: they're all just jealous because they don't have the amount of talent in their entire body that you have in your little finger. You have single-handedly produced the best fan edit EVER and nobody can take that away from you. The amount of admirers you have far outweighs the "haters" and all you need to do is look back at all the positive comments over the past 208 pages to know how many people support you. Keep up the good work, man.

The fact is you've really slaved over this work. Seriously. I'm just researching and compiling things for the MEGA MADNESS - THE ULTIMATE GREMLINS COMPANION project that ThrowgnCpr and I are doing yet I'm spending LOADS of time, effort AND pouring money into it. That's probably just scratching the surface of what you've done for this...and are choosing to continue on with the rest of the SW films! I do hope that no one from this OR FE's forum is part of the individuals that are hiding behind the big bad internet so they can take out their childish fanboy hatred on you. If it's one thing I can't stand, it's people who aren't man enough to tell me face to face what kind of problem they have with me.

And to those possible Ady-haters out there lurking like the chicken-dung trolls you are.................

Wow ady, It's disturbing to see you get hate mail all because of a painting. Heh, i'd say take more time just to spite them even more. Wait till July to release:D I would be willing to wait that long, but thats just me.

I'm glad that I didn't have dicks hounding me about my edit being like you do.

Thanks for all your work. I look forward to whatever editions you release, whenever you release them. I'll try to figure out something to occupy myself with in the meantime. Maybe.....life, or something like that.

Nice painting! Awesomeness abounds.
Harassing you like that over a fan edit is indeed pathetic. You've done a hell of a lot of work on this and I hope you never have any reason to look back with any regrets.
