Definitely the wrong thread since that has nothing to do with Empire Strikes Back Revisited or even Adywan’s plans for the prequels. There are plenty of other prequel edit threads where this could be suggested and probably already has been.

Oh it wasn’t about a fan edit it was a what if i was wondering if that would have been better prequels than what we got same goes for jedi. Only reason i brought it up is it seem like the thread was veering off topic anyway and i just thought i throw that out there sorry if i shouldn’t have.

I asked this question earlier and I think it kind of got glossed over, but I was wondering if the 3ds max project could/would be made available so as to create custom crawls that will fit in with the revisited series? I would really appreciate it. Thanx

is there a way to get ahold of said “3D guy Andreas”?

or if not that at least could you tell me the fonts you used for the crawls so that i might be able to recreated the technique myself?

The fonts used for the crawls are News Gothic Bold (for episode number and body) and News Gothic Bold Extra Condensed (for the episode title). I’m not certain of the exact details, but 40pt for the episode number, 54pt for the episode title (vertically stretched to 170%), and 32pt for the body text seems to be a good match to the original ESB crawl. Matching the line spacing by eye gives me 106pt leading between number and title, 87pt leading between title and text, 45pt leading within the paragraphs and an extra 44pt between paragraphs, but I’m even less confident of that.

That’s matching to the original theatrical crawl; I’m not sure if Ady’s made any special modifications himself.

I’d just like to mention that my son’s name is also Andreas and, coincidentally, he is also 3-dimensional.
