If anything Carrie should be getting chastised for her performance. She’s the only real weak link in TFA in terms of acting.

Even if that is something you would say saying Carrie and Harrison’s performances were on par is like saying Jake Lloyd and Peter Cushing’s performance are on par with each other.
I did not even say Ford’s performance was as bad as Carrie’s. I just said they were both generally bad. There is a gap between them deciding who is worse among the bad. When it comes to Lloyd-Cushing, you have one utterly bad and one exceptionally brilliant performance. So your comparison was stupid.
