Well, here's a suggestion: The characters and all the various objects that you placed as layers in front of the red background don't blend naturally with it. What I do is set the front layer transparency to 95%. Then, I use the eraser tool in Paint Shop Pro (I think Photoshop has it also with the desired parameters but I'm not certain), setting the hardness to 0 and using a very big eraser size (100 pixel size for a 1000x1000 image) . What I do then is run the perimeter of the figure, (not draggind the eraser, it is best done if you makes a spot-by spot perimeter), only letting the edges of the eraser touch my image. You will see that your figures will blend far more naturally with the background that way.
