ST2112, not to derail, but do you have any recordings related to Hercules: The Legendary Journeys or Xena: Warrior Princess? I’m working on preserving all the promos, commercials and assorted advertising for these shows.

Even if you weren’t taping those shows, DS9 and Herc/Xena were both syndicated on the WB at about the same time (1994-1999 overlap) – so if you were taping DS9 then you’ll likely have a whole pile of “this week on Xena!” promos hidden in the commercial breaks, or under the end credits.

Hi. Yes, I plan on doing it when I can. I saw a few minutes of the recordings and they look pretty good. It’s just finding the time to do them. I’ve also been going through my paper archives and have come across things I forgot I saved through the years from different genre sources, so I’m pleased to still have them. Hi. I will have to check my tapes to be sure of exactly which ones I have. A couple of my notes were not clear. I don’t think I have all of the Nimoy segments, but should have most, if not all, of the Shatner ones. I will try to confirm this for you as soon as I can. Yes, I am willing to share them. I have, however, been disappointed with a couple of members I have corresponded with privately through the Original Trilogy forum when I did not receive a reply to a query on getting info and help on sharing something with me. I completed several Star Wars transfers for them, but since they have not responded to my questions in over two months, and haven’t even asked about the transfers, I am a little leery about my decision to share things with them and have full faith in their integrity. I have been in ill health this summer and just don’t have the time or inclination to deal with anyone that isn’t responsive and may be unwilling to reciprocate in the sharing of material. Thanks.

I’m so sorry to hear about that. Hope you will eventually change your mind and I hope the people you mentioned will remember the meaning of the word “community”.

I’m sure some you won’t have these issues with some of the more prominent members here. I would like to see some discussion on possible transfer plans. Who has the equipment and who has the time? What is the best kind of transfer? I would like a HQ (DVD-R) transfer with CC retained.

Thank you as well. The many kind responses I have gotten have renewed my confidence and interest in working with this group. I only wish my health issues weren’t such an impediment to everything I want to accomplish this year. I saved all this material for decades hoping they could be shared and enjoyed by others and then a health crisis occurs. The best laid plans… 😃

If I understand the OP correctly, he is not ready to share his stuff due to past issues … and I don’t believe he’s stated he’s ready just yet, at least until his health is better which is totaly understandable.

There are some great Star Trek shares going up on the spleen right now with stuff that isn’t your normal VHS released documentary share.

Are you talking about the “50 Iconic years” discs or are you preparing something else?

I was referring to the “50 Iconic Years” discs. I am not working on the project this thread is about. The OP is not ready to share his resources and I respect his wishes.

I recorded all the first broadcast with Shatner in SP on high quality VHS tapes. I have a lot of the Nimoy segments, but it was hard to catch them so most are copied (still in SP but 2nd gen) to the end of the Shatner broadcast version. I don’t have a working VCR, so if anyone wants the tapes…

I assume they’re NTSC, so I can’t help, but I hope somebody here can.

I live in the states, Wisconsin to be exact, would it be a hassle for us to get them here? I could start at least transferring them to an HD or straight to my DVDrecorder. I don’t have the knowledge and/or experience for any clean-up that might be needed though.

I can capture it directly to a digital file too. I recently set up a backup system for LD/VHS, so I’d be glad to help.

I live in New York near Pennsylvania, if that’s any closer.
