I liked it. I was unfamiliar with the cast, but am now a Kate McKinnon fan; without her the movie would have about half the charm (and most of that half would be from Chris Hemsworth). Not as good or as funny as the original, but considerably better than Ghostbusters 2. The effects were pretty meh, some of the weapons were a bit much and some of the music sucked, but I enjoyed it more than I expected to due to all the haters. Hoping for a sequel! 6/10

I’d probably give it an 8/10 and I don’t remember the music one way or the other, but otherwise I agree with this completely.

McKinnon and Hemsworth were both amazing.

I was pretty close to giving it 7/10. It would be at least 6.5 if I didn’t hate half points. For some reason I’ve been a bit harsher with scores lately. The Shallows probably deserved 7/10 as well.
