Rikter, I can't help you with those, but I am curious: What's in the content folders for the EditDroid ESB & ROTJ, do you know? Couldn't you get them from the creator of the set?

IF I'm not mistaken it's the McQuarrie art galleries and such... BUT the fist DVD had them as a HTML page that was wicked + scripts!!!

AND a Jacket_P folder that displays a picture on screen before the menu loads up on SOME Sony DVD players

Sounds mighty cool! But, once again, wasn't somebody in contact with the set's original creator? Can't you get them from him/her/them?

Also; can someone direct me to where I might learn how to edit the vobs/ifos/whatevers so that I can make my EditDroid ESB show the menu before playing the movie. I think a thread exists somewhere (though it might've been another board...).

Yeah, I know feelings are mixed on whether people like menus first or discs that jump into the film... I'm a menu guy myself and was thinking the same thing about the EditDroid ESB.

You'll see a hierarchical list of information stored in the ifo file. Click on VMGM_MAT and a plus sign will appear next to it. Click the plus to expand and you'll see First Play PGC. Click on it, then scroll down in the bottom window until you see the Pre Command(s). You'll see a command saying "(JumpTT) Jump to Title: 1." Right-click on that command and choose "Edit Command." Change the command to "(JumpSS_VTSM) Jump to Titleset Menu." Set the Title number to 1, Titleset number to 1, and Menu to "Root."

There may not be any DVD-ROM content for the EditDroid ESB. I say this because both ANH and ROTJ have specific menu pages indicating what DVD-ROM content the disc contains. ESB has no such page.

Thanks Darth Mallwalker!
That's exactly the info I remember seeing. Changed it and it works. Yay!

BTW, your avatar scares me and makes me feel uncomfortable.

Eh. The splitscreen trilogy doesn't really strike me as something I'd download. Although I do commend Wookie Groomer for getting a comparison set out, I only have 12GB per month download, and I'm trying to get the EditDroid set and will probably get Han's Clone Wars Season 3 DVD when that's made available.

Rikter, YGM.

Rikter,
Looks like you're seeding Wookie Groomer's FIXED version (TR47's 1980 - includes Leia welding),
but the .NFO file you've got is from the older version (Dr_Gonzo's 1980 - without Leia welding).

However, in practice you must take into account the “fuckwit factor”. Just talk to Darth Mallwalker…

Hello. For the longest time I've wanted to see the original SW documentaries like the Making of Star Wars, SPFX, Classic Creatures, etc. I've been away from this site for a while but I was interested in seeing how that SW Legacy project was doing. That led me to checking out this thread, etc.

Anyway I guess I missed it, but someone posted a two part torrent at myspleen.com with these documentaries on DVD. I started downloading (along with the casting auditions torrent) but the documentary torrents aren't looking too healthy. These two torrents are about 4.3 GBs each and at this rate, it's going to take an eternity to download. Would it be possible for someone to help me out and maybe upload these as smaller AVI or VCD files?

Seems like a big favor but I just figured I'd give it a shot.

I will be doing the NON-Subtitled versions in the future as DVD so hold tight...

As for when I really don't know SO, SO many DVD's and so little bandwidth.

Since it seems Rikter has too many things on his head right now (after all, bh 003, Editdroid ROTJ and coverart dvd are promised), I think I could do the encoding and upload them once I finish my ESB download. If you are patient enough, and provided xavier and the guys over myspleen will let me, I'll post them soon.
If on the other hand you are too impatient, I could send them to you (no charge whatsoever) if you pm me with your adress.
And now, for your feature presentation:
The Classic Re-re-re-release of Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back.
In this version the word "WOOKIE" has been changed to "HAIR CHALLENGED ANIMAL" and the entire cast has been digitally replaced by Ewoks.

Thanks guys. I think I'm patient enough to wait for these. The downloads aren't looking too good and the sooner the better, but I think I can wait for you guys.

I was asked to pass on a message from "the EditDrioid creators":

Noticed some confusion in the "torrents" thread at originaltrilogy. There
is no CD-ROM content on the ESB DVD.

Well, at least that's certain now. So we just gotta dig up the DVD-ROM content for Jedi, then?

I used to be very active on this forum. I’m not really anymore. Sometimes, people still want to get in touch with me about something, and that is great! If that describes you, please email me at [my username]ATgmailDOTcom.

Hi everybody. You’re all awesome. Keep up the good work.

Yes, it says there is on the Bonus Features menu. Pop these things in your player already!

I am currently encoding Wookie Groomer ANH splitscreen to a more "downloadable" verision as per request of some members of this forum.

Wookie Groomer: do you have any objection to this version being made public?

I am using DivX 5.21 pro codec multiple pass encoding and audio streams encoded to mp3 96Kbps joint stereo.
One problem I was facing is that because of the 3 different audio streams, it would be difficult to fit the movie in a 700MB CD without conciderable quality loss.
So I am thinking towards an ~900MB version of each movie, with the objective that all three documentaries would fit in a DVD.
Any other suggestions?
