And now ReverendBeastly who started the thread (and sent the copy to Rikter for distribution ???)
boasts of having never burned a disc compliant with the DVD-Video standard.

Quality control indeed !

And Rikter is trying to find the missing JACKET_P and DVD-ROM contents.

Generational issues indeed !
O the irony....

Maybe I should clarify what I meant. I have never burned a DVD that I authored in any other manner than just burning a data DVD with the folders. Any time I am copying a single-layer DVD, I always rip a disc image rather than copying the files and folders. I would also like to point out that Rikter was never trying to find the JACKET_P and DVD-ROM contents of A New Hope, as they were included on the disc that I sent him. The DVD-ROM content was included in his torrent and the JACKET_P folder was available as a .rar file after he realized that he forgot to include it in the torrent. I had no hand in the distribution of ESB and ROTJ, so I can't speak for the missing contents on those, but I can tell you that the disc I sent Rik was practically a carbon copy of the disc I was sent.

Yep, he speaks the truth - WHEN I copied the disc "DVD Decrypter" did not copy the original JACKET_P folder so I did not include that in the torrent BUT I did grab the DVD-ROM folder I excluded the the JACKET_P folder as I thought it was a useless folder that some DVD authoring software had included - I'VE nevere seen a JACKET_P folder before and Adobe Encore, TMPGEnc DVD Author 1.6, ULEAD and Nero have never created one so I tossed it.... I did update it with a .RAR file so those that wanted to include it could (This only effects SOME with Sony DVD players and some Denon DVD decks).

THE next DVD's I got were from three (3) OTHER fans and EACH one did not have the DVD-ROM folder - THIS happens as DVD Decrypter only copies the VIDEO_TS and the AUDIO_TS folders....

SO, when the discs are copied it DOES not include the DVD-ROM folder so if your not aware that the folder is there it can be overlooked.

We have to remember that NOT every fan is Super Tech Savy and things like this can happen.

DVD Decrypter is a good program and I will always use it, but ALWAYS explore the disc for extra features now and I suggest to ANYONE planning on coping a FAN created DVD - Explore the disc for extra folders and copy them over also
