If you speak french: http://www.lepoint.fr/pop-culture/cinema/star-wars-rogue-one-ce-que-cache-le-depart-brutal-d-alexandre-desplat-16-09-2016-2068991_2923.php

The conclusion represents my (bad) feeling about this (feeling that I would call “Marvelization”*):

One thing is certain: whatever the quality is (and we really wish it to be good), the Star Wars movie, which is released in theaters on December 14, won’t definitely belong to Gareth Edwards.

I would add that what was supposed to be a risky and unique project is probably going to be an Episode VII-2. It can still be good (Edward’s powerfull scales and beautiful shots are in the trailer), but it’s unlikely to be something as interesting as it could have been. So it’s not that strange that Disney-LFL hired an “auteur” director for VIII (Rian Johnson) and two different “yes-man” for VII and IX (the Star Trek reboot guy and… the Jurassic Park reboot guy).

[* time to say something nice about TFA: it’s still better than any Disney-Marvel movie. Not by a long shot, but on blockbuster standards I think it’s as good as Winter Solider or Ant-Man]
