Does it weaken Star Wars if

Vader and Anakin were never made the same person. I guess its because that’s how the canon story played out but I think it weakens the characters of Luke and Vader if Vader and Anakin remained two people.

It couldn’t have weakened Star Wars any more than ROTJ and the PT actually did.
