He could be telling Yoda that the entire planet of Dagobah is NOT a big city.

Communing with Yoda seems the obvious thing. But Frink has Yoda chuckling at sensing Anakin’s agony. Ric’s ghost could appear in the funeral scene? Or take part in the Tantive conference room scene between Bail, Yoda, and Obi Wan?

Ric could also appear to welcome Yoda to Dagobah, if you use the deleted scene.

And what of Spock?

Where were you in '77?

Yes, that’s what 005 was suggesting.

And what of Spock?

I’m happy to put him in but as with the other two times, someone else will have to do it for me.

I know you are very against Doctor Who references in your edits but I was just thinking about Sid Sidious’ “Unlimited Power” line.
The Seventh Doctor is played by Sylvester McCoy who like Ian McDiarmid has a mild Scots accent.
He famously (for those who follow the show) mocks a arch enemy’s plans to take over the universe with the line “Unlimited Rice Pudding!”. Regardless of if you like or are indifferent to the show it might be funny to swap the lines out.

Wait, Frink seriously doesn’t appreciate Doctor Who? Even the 2005 reboot series? Even series 5 and on in the 2005 reboot series (plus Steven Moffat’s earlier episodes “The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances”, “The Girl in the Fireplace”, “Blink”, and “Silence in the Library/Forest of the Dead”)? My ever-shifting opinion of Frink has taken a sudden and significant hit…

I tried to get into Dr. Who and was not impressed.

Which iteration of Who you start with could drastically affect your experience. The classic series is very low budget and campy, truly an acquired taste (I’m not fully “there” yet). The reboot through series 4, covering Christopher Eccleston and David Tennant under showrunner Russell T. Davies, starts to attract a broader audience, it has increasingly frequent episodes with rich stories and decent emotional arcs, but overall still pretty campy and directionless. Series 5 of the reboot shifts to showrunner Steven Moffat and actor Matt Smith (most recently Peter Capaldi), and the show now represents what may be the best sci-fi on television. Consistently well-written stories, terrific drama and overarching plots that pay out over years not episodes or seasons.

Depending where you start, it can take longer to get into it (I understand, I was there, too), but there’s really something for everyone already into sci-fi.

And I think we’d better taper off this derail unless Frink gives us reason to continue on, as we’re about as off topic as I think it gets at this point.

I didn’t want to set the world on fire. Just thought the line sounded funny.

And I didn’t mean to distract so much from the suggestion. It does sound kind of funny.

I take it the previous Spock FX guys aren’t available this time around?

I was actually watching ROTS this week, looking for a good spot Spock could appear. The empty chair in the meeting room on the Tantive might work if a shot of Spock sitting at his console at a simalar angle can be pulled from somewhere.

The camera doesn’t move for this shot, which lasts six seconds. The empty chair doesn’t appear in any other shots either.

Alternatively, there could simply be a random cutaway to this shot from Star Trek V, as if Spock is reacting to the conversation on the other side of the room?

I’m really starting to get used to this idea.

It’s not a bad idea. Not sure it’s worth $8.50 however, as I have no interest in owning that film.

I wonder if there’s anything similar in Wrath of Kahn or Undiscovered Country?

Spock looking questioningly at people? Should be. Allow me to dwell on this…
