It's just as the shot cuts from behind Leia ("Only you could be so bold"). Vader comes to a stop, puts his fists on his hips and sticks out one knee, and to me it makes him look, well, less than macho
I'm sure you won't be the only person to find it highly objectionable, and I can totally see your point, but every time I see that scene I wonder why there's no response from Luke.

It seems a reasonable assumption, as to the best of my knowledge, he never "blinks" at any other time.
