Mercenaries is important because you get to unlock the Chicago Typewriter. I'd rather have that than the infinite launcher. I beat the game on professional, and it was funny to see which bosses were tougher. Saddler was just as easy, actually.
Anybody checked out the PSP? I'm interested, but I might wait for some better games.
But my only complaint is the prices for the memory sticks that you must have to take full advantage of the PSP's capabilities(MP3, Video, Picture viewing and so-forth), a 512mb memory stick is around 70-80 bucks.
But that isn't too bad considering this stuff is pretty much state of the art I suppose.
Back to the DS question though, the best DS game I've played (my brother has one) is WareWare Touched! 5 second minigames is so dang addicting...I'm being serious here, the game rocks, go to GameStop now and try it!
I've decided to spend some money and buy a handheld console, either Nintendo DS or PSP. Which one do you recomend? I'm more likely to buy the Nintendo.

Hmmm. I guess I'll give the obligatory "get whichever one suits your tastes more" answer. I want a PSP. It can do more, and seems to have a good slate of games coming out (Grand Theft Auto, Devil May Cry, Syphon Filter, Gran Turismo, ect). The down sides are that we don't know how durable the PSP will be over the long haul, and that it seems like it could eat up money with memory sticks, peripherals, ect. Also of note, the price of the PSP in all likelihood won't come down until at least 2006.
I'm definitely not going to get the PSP (unless it is a gift) this year. Way to expensive to own and to maintain. The DS is much more durable, plus it plays GBA games. The problem with that system is that it is underpowered in comparison, and there aren't many games worth buying it for.
If you don't already have a GBA, Ric, then go for it. If you do, I might hold off. Then again, the PSP isn't getting any cheaper.
I have no idea which one I'd prefer. I still like the size and portability of the GBA:SP and I might go with that. But both the DS and PSP are nice. They have great features. I think what would definitely sell me on the PSP is if someone comes up with a way for us to burn our own movies from DVD to PSP-compatible minidiscs. I hate the thought of having to buy movies in yet another format. Plus, I've already got my iPod for music. So, it really just comes down to games and while the PSP has some sweet titles in the works, all my old GB games should work on the DS which equates to little necessary upgrading.

Actually Bossk, you don't need to use the minidiscs. People just convert video to mpeg-4 (?) and load it onto memory sticks. I know a guy who downloaded a few episodes of 'Lost' from kazaa and was watching them on his PSP.

I hate to bear bad news, but the DS is only compatible with GBA games. Nintendo has to keep some reason for you to own a GBA SP, right?
Anyway, the DS is much cheaper and has a huge library of GBA games and a longer battery life. But of course, it can't do quite as much, save for the touch screen.
I don't have a GBA, and I liked the multiplayer and network features of the Nintendo DS, so this might be my choice. Although I think the Nintendo DS dosen't have enough games...
