If it's that important to you, why don't you PM Jay?

I was hoping one of the early forum members would know and I believe Jay is rather busy at the moment.

No clue whatsoever as the original posts have all been relegated to the Web ether.

Wasn't it the trash bin, since Jay accidentally deleted all the original posts?

Yeah, "Web ether", "circular file", "recycle bin", etc.

I found this one on that web archive engine dating back to 3/10/03 from Jay...

I'm very anti-censorship and will be tolerant to pretty much any viewpoint presented here, but one topic that is not permitted is the discussion of bootlegs.

Whatever your feelings are on the subject, please keep them private. Don't post about them publicly. Everyone already knows where to get them, so there's no need to discuss them.

Just about anything else is fair game. You'll find I'm pretty loose and will let you say what you will.

That said, enjoy the forum

Dunno if this is the first or not, but it seems pretty damn early in the life of the site.

I knew a girl whose parents worked at a school for the blind. They had a bumper sticker on their car that said this.....in Braille.

Guys, it was in bumps....Braille, get it? You had to run your fingers over it to read it, get it?

They did it on purpose. That was the joke....

No, I got it, I just wondered if the bumps on the braile were darker than the rest of the sticker so that non-blind people who new braile could read it and get the joke too.

I don't get it, what's so funny about a bumper sticker in braille that says the word this?

I CAN ANSWERE THAT QUESTION. THAT WAS JAY'S REASON FOR LOCKING MY FIRST TOPIC THREAD. THE THREAD WAS "IS eBAY OUR SAVIOR ?". THE THREAD WAS ABOUT FINDING THE O-OT ON DVD ON eBAY, BUT JAY DIDN'T WANT ANY DISCUSSIONS ABOUT BOOTLEGS ON THE SITE FOR FEAR THAT LUCASFILM WOULD SHUT DOWN THE THIS SITE.

Bill Hunt's eagerness to announce the site prematurely resulted in several late nights for me right before the launch date.

If memory serves, I called in sick the day the site launched because I didn't go to bed until 8 a.m. or so.

I dunno that "cool" is the appropriate word when Jay is talking about having been sick and stressed out. Unless you're just a sadistic mofo.

Jay, do you remember what the first post was or do you have it archived somewhere kinda like how restaurants frame their first dollar bill?

Jay did not say that sick he was...

He said that stayed up all night he did, and called in sick.
