Oh, well that’s news to me actually. Thanks for the link. I never liked the lightsaber forms because they all just reeked of the Prequels and EU shoehorning to me. I’m not surprised to learn that they originated in the PT novelizations.

So you assumed that every Jedi and Sith were taught exactly the same way in terms of lightsaber dueling? You do know that in real life there different sword fighting techniques so lightsaber forms are pretty much the same shit. I hate the PT as much as the next guy but Christ man…

No no, I don’t mind the concept of lightsaber forms at all. I mean, at its core it calls back to martial arts and samurai techniques and all that, which is just fine.

I’m just not a fan of how it was presented in the PT and old EU because they did that thing where they shoehorned and retconned stuff to make it fit.
