Fuck Roy Phillips. That is all

I like the moral ambiguity of that quest. Helping Roy seems like what’s right at first, but he ends up being just as bad as Tenpenny.

The best thing to do for both sides is to not start the quest at all. But it’s whatever; I killed Roy, the ghouls in the Hotel and Mr. Burke too. I’m not sure why he was still alive but was pleasantly surprised.

Rest in Peace, Metal Gear.

Far Cry: Blood Dragon is on sale for $3.75 on Steam right now, probably gonna pick it up. Love the aesthetic of it.

No matter what I do I can’t keep getting bugs with my Fallout New Vegas mods. After getting ENB’s to work period, to getting NVSE and the 4GB patch to work as one, to getting the game to actually be 1920x1080 and see through textures I’m fucking going through it right now. This shit is very fucking frustrating.

Turn off Anti-aliasing and anisotropic filtering to fix the see-through textures. It’s a problem with ENBs.

I did that in the FalloutNVLauncher but maybe there’s a way you can do it in the ini files

Try disabling the Steam overlay (if you’re using Steam).

Maybe you could try this, too.

Are you using an nvidia graphics card?

Already did that. Both in Steam and in game.

I think that’s only for your hands. What I’m experiencing is seeing through walls and shit.

Are you using an nvidia graphics card?

I am. I should probably update my drivers.

Try opening the NVIDIA control panel and making sure AA and AF are disabled there, too.

If you don’t know how to open it;

I’ll definitely try this tomorrow as I am getting ready for work. I greatly appreciate you for trying to help me at my most desperate hour.

@Tyr

It depends on the situation. In my experience changing stuff in the launcher, reinstalling mods and/or the entire game in general and making ini tweaks usually fixes most issues.

Yeah, I figure you know what you’re doing so I was just jabbin’ at you.

The adapter is unnesesary as you could always play with it via USB with Scp Server but having a more viable option as opposed to pirating is a nice thing.

@Jeebus

Thanks for trying to help me but I have done this, that and a third and no dice. I’m just going to lay without the ENB as I don’t feel like doing a fresh install.

You can use a ps3 controller on a pc without pirating anyway with a very simple program and most ‘generic’ ps3 controllers work on pc right out of the box.

I thought it was “Throw out your MAC and buy a RC.”

The two points were separate…

EDIT:

Rereading it I can see how you thought they were one in the same though

That’s always the very first step, but I assumed he was at least past that because he was actually running the game to begin with.

Looks beautiful man! I thought I got the ENB to work until I got to a wide open section of the desert and discovered how wrong I was. Luckily my game doesn’t look that bad without the ENB.

As it pertains to the game itself holy mother of Jesus is it deeper than Fallout 3. I’m perplexed as to what road I should travel. I decided to take over New Vegas and bring the House down but now I don’t know exactly to deal with the Caesars. I’m not sure if I should still tag along with Caesar and destroy him at the dam or just do away with him now. Anyway deciding who to side with, what to do with Benny (I decided to crucify him) and exacly how to do everything I have done in the short 5 HOURS I have played the game has surpassed anything in Fallout 3 in spades. I can’t really give a full assessment on if it’s better or not as I have just scratched the surface but I am enjoying the game a lot more than I did Fallout 3

This picture seems dead on.

Intricated isn’t a word, dammit!

But yeah, I think the only reason New Vegas has a bad rap is because the launch was really poor compared to FO3. That’s why I didn’t ever bother to pick it up (though I apparently did at some point because it’s in my Steam library).

I’ve heard over and over that it’s a really great game, so maybe I’ll give it a spin sometime.

It’s probably important to remember though that New Vegas is basically just taking the already great 3 and just adding shit on to it (with different storyline, location, etc.). So it’d be hard for it to be worse but for most people who say 3 is better it’s because that game was amazing when it came out and blew them away and then New Vegas was more of the same (not in a bad way, just not in a “oh my god this is amazing” way).

Aside from the updates that Obsidian put out after the launch of New Vegas there are unofficial patches that fix a myriad of bugs in the game…for those of us fortunate who play on PC that is 😉

For me, it comes down to the vibe and atmosphere. Fallout 3 feels post-apocalyptic. Style-wise, they nailed it.

New Vegas is bright and colorful. Never gave me a feeling of fear or dread.

Sometimes more is just more. I never once felt while playing Fallout 3 that it didn’t have enough of something. I had plenty of fun just exploring the wasteland and didn’t need more story lines to push me in any direction.

Maybe I’ll give New Vegas another try since it’s cheap, but I still haven’t played Fallout 4. Not sure I have the attention span to do both.
