I didn’t see them in my playlist after the purchase. Maybe I’m confused and will have to recheck. I hope that clears up that confusion too, lol.

I checked and this is what I purchased … Star Wars: The Digital Movie Collection which contains all six films and the non-exclusive bonus features priced at $89.99 at Google Play.

It did not come with the exclusive bonus features. This is why I was looking for them.

Each digital release will come complete with two new, never-before-seen bonus features: Star Wars: Discoveries from Inside and Conversations, which involves sit-downs between key contributors from across the entire franchise.

Apparently at the time of release and purchase, Google Play had some issues. I have sent them a kind e-mail on the matter.

Personally, I’m not buying 7 movies again that I already own the DVD and Blu Ray of, just for the extras. I hate digital copies anyway. If I want a “digital” (aka disc-less, as DVD and Blu Ray are already digital) copy, I’ll just make one from my DVD. I believe that trading of just bonus material is A-OK with moth3r, right?

If you are asking for bonus features from someone else instead of buying them yourself, it’s piracy. End of story.

But regardless of the official ot.com policy, which is unclear due to the recent nature of digital copies, I think it’s extremely bad form to ask for anything you can buy yourself, and furthermore I believe it endangers the site. If Jay decides I’m wrong and he’s not concerned about this, so be it.

Well I’m just going by numerous topics collecting bonus features from oop and foreign releases of various movies that seemed to have been traded here. I thought that as long as you own at least one DVD/ Blu Ray of a particular movie, this was OK. And sure if I could buy JUST the bonus features, sure I’d buy them, for a reasonable price.

I think it’s also not good form to make such a public assumption about someone you don’t know personally.

For me personally, If I can buy them from Google Play, I will gladly, as I have stated I already purchased the films but the exclusive bonus stuff didn’t show up. I have already stated that I am checking with them on what happened. If I should have gotten them and didn’t then I have a partial refund coming if they are unable to provide them due to the error on their end. If they cannot provide the refund or the exclusive bonus stuff, I am entitled to acquire them as they were paid for in advance. End of story.

JEDIT: If you are not referring to me in your response then just take it as a general response.

Also … we all should be careful about how we perceive people because they are searching out something they paid for and didn’t get due to an error on the merchandiser’s side. I am as passionate as you are about the site and the issues. It is exactly why I said you should take care with what you say publicly as well so I did not miss the point. You directing comments at one person specifically was unnecessary and not in line with your “concern for the community”, otherwise your comment would have been more of a blanket statement. Wook’s comment reinforced his position, not yours, and I heard him when he first said it. I understood it as well.

In any case, I received a response to my query, and the issue was fixed promptly. I paid in full for what I ordered and I now have everything that I ordered. Me and the Mouse are square and I’m good. This will be my last post in this thread.

I do suggest to others posting in the thread to limit it to discussion of the content itself. Any other discussion regarding this situation should be done privately until Jay has a chance to decide how he wants to handle it.
