Sorry, I’ve been taking a break from keeping up on fan edit stuff the past few months and just got back on here. Thanks to those of you who have watched J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit and given some nice feedback! I’ve tried to make the edit feel as close to an actual studio release as possible, so it means a lot to hear some of you say that it is your “go-to” version of the Hobbit from here on out.

After a good deal of waiting, I’ve finally managed to have the film accepted into the Internet Fan Edit Database. Here is a link to the listing on Fanedit.org!

I greatly enjoyed watching the Blu Ray of your edit and applaud what you have done. I have only 2 minor complaints though:

  1. The transition from AUJ to DOS feels a little rushed but as a positive the transition from DOS to BOTFA is ABSOLUTELY SEAMLESS!
  2. We don’t know why Gandalf didn’t follow them out of Rivendell.

Besides these 2 minor issues I have with the edit, I must say…this edit is truly incredible. It now takes its rightful place as the prequel to the LOTR Trilogy in our family’s marathons from this year onward. Thank you!!!
