I’ll look at paring it down a bit, but I specifically left in the joined the force/legally dead bit because it fit too perfectly. I also don’t want to lose any of the swearing.
I really like it, even if it runs long. The contrast might be a bit too low but I dunno what you can do to preserve the colars and salvage some of the detail (can you bring in more yellows?).
What if he just repeats the “ship/cup/speeder” lines? Might be hard to modulate it to Vader’s voice unless you can find similar phonemes (he does say ship at least once).
Maybe he says “You’re so beautiful” as he turns to Palpatine? Or do you want serious directives and not malfunctioning memories?

As far as the image goes, I took the original and added an infrared filter and then a red filter, trying to make it dark enough that the difference between the Robocop set and the ROTS set aren’t too crazy dissimilar. I’m sure there’s an increased contrast filter I could look at, but otherwise I think it’s pretty solid.
Oh, I hadn’t considered the darkness of the set. Makes more sense then.

In that case, I’ll throw in a few more suggestions along those lines (some of these I’m thinking of as like self-motivational (also demotivational) sayings, some as straight up prime directives, and some just ironic).
Really hoped to think of a way to fit a Darth Vader line from The Holiday Special, but I don’t think there’s much that can be done with “I want the Rebels located and identified… if it means searching every household in the system!” other than “Search… every household in the system” but it isn’t as funny as many of the others.
It was suggested earlier to lose the force line. Please don’t lose the force line, that’s genuine lols, as is the tracking bit. I do however agree that it could be shortened.

You might also be able to use the smiling Palpatine shot as a cutaway? Blow up the HD frame to fit your needs.

I’ll agree with the voice stress part, and also I’d say the first few quick flashes after 46 seconds, before you get to them saying any actual sentences.
There’s no way I’m taking those voice stress parts out - my daughters are going to laugh their heads off over that, guaranteed.

When I was working on the clip a few nights ago, my wife wandered in and politely asked me to plug my headphones in so she didn’t have to hear “ahhhhhhhhh” over and over again.
