Consumes more than alf of the Earth's natural resources, contributes with more than half of the world's polution, and has broken pacts such as Kyoto's, making the world go back 25 years in environmental protection development. But what is THE message of this movie (not only this movie, but also from other environmental-subjected films and series, such as "Future Boy Conan")? Basically, that we should not continue making the sames mistakes. We shouldn't just pretend it's not there. In 20 years, drinkable water will be as rare as oil in most countries. In some places it is already. We should not put other interests such as "profit" in front of it... It is our future and our children's future in sake here, but, unfortunally, some people will just close their eyes and pretend it's not happening...

Oh please don't tell me you've bought into this alarmist bull crap, Ric! Humans aren't going to destroy the world, and the problem is hardly being ignored. In Nuasicaa it is the people like Kushana, who want to attack the problem head on, who are in the wrong. Remember. The swamp is the only thing that is purifying the water. The environment is fixing itself with or without human intervention.

Does anyone else think that the Matrix Revolutions completely ripped off the ending of this film?

I don't uite remember the ending of that piece of crap, but you could be right... Lots of movies rip off ideas from anime. Disney blatantly steals from anime on every single movie it makes.

Piece of crap? What are you talking about? I was reffering to the third Matrix movie when Neo is supended on the Jack-in wires (Nausicaa on the Ohmu tentalces) and they star glowing... and the reason he is there is to protect his people from a swarm of insect like machines (the stampede of Omhu), and Neo gets absorbed by Smith (Nausicaa getting pulverized by the stampede) Then you cant really tell if Neo is dead or not, just like it's ambiguous to whether Nausicaa died or was just healed by the Omhu.

I allways took the ambiguity as: Yeah, Neo's dead; he couldn't want to live without Trinity, and Nausicaa didn't die, but was repaired by the Ohmu (since they clearly put their tentalces first in her wounds.)
