Thank you so much! The response this has gotten from both the folks here and on TK has meant quite a lot to me; I’m glad people are enjoying this project so much.

It’s also been something of an eye-opening experience for me. I’ve long wished certain versions of these movies would get the sort of treatment Harmy’s given Star Wars, and this has shown me that it’s really not such a difficult thing to do. I’ve been fruitlessly looking for a job lately, and I think the frustration and the urge to be occupied with something productive really motivated me to do this, combined with resenting Kraken Releasing’s approach to their release of The Return of Godzilla. Spite and boredom will change your life, folks!

In the meantime, while we’re waiting for the Kraken Blu-ray to come out in September, I intend to keep busy with a few less complicated preservations of these films’ US versions (Godzilla vs. the Sea Monster and Destroy All Monsters come to mind), as well as the minor fixes still left to do on v0.5, which will most likely mean a v0.6 being released in the next week or two.
