Hello All.

I'm new to actually posting to the forum, however I've been lurking here for a while. You guys are hilarious and help me make it through my day, believe it or not. I used to be a "fan boy", however in the past year or two I've come to see the light, as I'm a first generation fan. In fact, my OT laserdiscs just arrived last week...woo hoo!!

Any hoo, has anyone watched the "Making of..." documentary on the AOTC bonus disk? One thing that really stood out for me was the look of abject terror on the faces of the people who were doing the cgi Yoda. They were kind of apprehensive about GL's reaction. Was like they were making a hostage tape, or something. The relief was palpable when he said he liked it. Was thinking maybe he locks them up somewhere if he doesn't like what they produce, or something.

No, actually he locks them up in a room with a torture robot, one by one, until he gets the desired results.

Episode II: Shroud of the Dark Side

Emperor Jar-Jar
“Back when we made Star Wars, we just couldn’t make Palpatine as evil as we intended. Now, thanks to the miracles of technology, it is finally possible. Finally, I’ve created the movies that I originally imagined.” -George Lucas on the 2007 Extra Extra Special HD-DVD Edition

I did see it, but not on the DVD. GL having the animators re-do the final line by Yoda over and over again. Well... I suppose the salary at ILM is good enough, or else they wouldn't be doing it.
“Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country.” — Nazi Reich Marshal Hermann Goering

Actually, they're sent to the Neverland Ranch in little schoolkid outfits to endure the Wrath of Jacko.

And on each susequent sequel GL has another slave labor camp that have to do constant revisions and upgrades to the torture robots that keep the CGI animators in check. Its a vicious circle. I hear that by EP3 the animators were forced to get plastic surgery that made each of them look like Hayden.

LOL...yeah, and I bet they're outsourcing a good chunk of the CGI work...his regular bootlicks whispering in a corner "Off-Shore Consultants...we don't need their type of scum".
