I love the ANH Splitscreen version and can't wait to see this one. Do I take it you're going to do Jedi too, eventually? I want to make a cover for all 3, so I can use a triple DVD case. I might put some disk Labels together too...

I have been hearing talk that the split screen versions of ESB and ROTJ have been released?

Is this true? After watching the Split Screen version of Star Wars like a hundred times, I'm eager to see the rest of the trilogy.

All three original Star Wars films have had a splitscreen version done by Wookie Groomer.

These were all originally posted on Usenet on the alt.binaries.starwars newsgroup.

You might still catch the "fixed" Empire Strikes Back if you are lucky

Are these the final versions of the WookieGroomer trilogy?

I have ANH and ESB (burned). I actually had Return of the Jedi burned too, but I seem to have misplaced it.

Would anyone be willing to seed it (myspleen, etc..) or post it in a.b.starwars? I'd fedex you my right leg for it. I'd post something in exchange but my bandwidth is horrible

I just want to say a massive thank you to Wookiegroomer for making this set, taking the time and getting it right. Fantastic work sir!

Another big thanks to Rikter for putting these torrents up! Truly you are a friend to StarWars fans everywhere.

The ANH Split screen edition has become a favourite DVD of mine. It's hands down the geekiest, daftest, weirdest and downright COOLEST piece of StarWarsy-goodness I've ever come across. This last weekend has been a hectic one, as Easter weekend is traditionally a ridiculous 4-day bender among my friends and I. One of the overriding memories that many of my friends have is of watching the split screen movie and drinking cold Guinness at 4am on day 3. Many rather befuddled folks entering the room in various states of altered consciousness were more than a little confused by seeing the same thing twice on screen!

I salute you sirs, and anyone else involved in creating this set!

Hey there people. Wookie these are great work - just before you released them a friend and I tried watching the original vhs then the dvd to figure stuff out - you've made our lives a lot easier. Just wondered - could you put the covers somewhere for download? I seemed to have missed or deleted them after downloading them through myspleen.net

Wookie Groomer ANH rules! I did a couple of scenes inspired by it in my Deleted Magic ANH ...

The mono mix disc I rely on is the one originally done by people on the swcutscenes list. You may know the one. Not widely distributed. I used it in Deleted Magic. Some people have it.

This PAL version of the mono soundtrack is interesting ... how's the quality on it? Would enjoy hearing it, I bet ...

EDIT: No sooner do I post this than Russ Dawson steps in, offers me the PAL mono mix and tells me about this guy:

Has anyone made a DVD cover for the RTOJ splitscreen that's in line with the first two covers? Sadly, my photoshop skillz are very poor.

I know that the WookieGroomer ANH used the TR47 transfer, and the ESB used the Dr.Gonzo transfer, but does anyone know which was used for his Jedi release?
