The first sentence in his paragraph isn’t some grand spoiler that’ll no doubt ruin it for someone.
For some it would. Stop projecting.

If you’re so OCD about reading everything on the page before you scroll past a paragraph that clearly says SPOILERZ in front of it, that’s the readers problem. No matter how many dots are put between, the reader still has to choose to either scroll past or read the paragraph.
Since the SPOILERZ and the spoiler are so close together there’s a chance that someone’s eye will fixate on the actual spoiler before the spoiler warning. It happens dude. At least with the dots they have a chance to steer clear.

I would definitely prefer a proper spoiler hiding tool. I like the new design of the website but looks are no substitution for functionality
