The audio should not be out of sync, and yes, it was a scan with limited color correction. This is most noticeably a problem in the first scene with Darth Vader on the Star Destroyer while the “Imperial March” plays like 15 minutes into the movie. The picture keeps fading to pink and back out again.

I do like the look of it, but why is it so dark? Was there not enough of a light source when it was scanned, or is that just the nature of the particular print and the age of it? Being color blind I dont notice subtle nuances of changes in color, but I do notice that there is a certain hue or tint throughout. From what Ive read, its becoming a bit scarce out there to find. Im guessing the DVD5 version is 480p and probably doesnt look too hot.
As far as the audio, it looks to be about a half frame off. I wonder if I can import it into Premeire and move the audio track a hair to correct it. Any other ideas on why its off? The file plays off as well as the BD I burned. The version I have has 9 audio tracks with the last 3 being Lucas and one other commentary. It also has the Portugese track. Regardless, its really cool to see the film grain and the rawness of the film.
