Actually, I've sort of been thinking about doing a set based around McQuarrie's concept art. I sort of wanted to model it around the covers for the current paperback series of Frank Herber's DUNE novels, i.e. just a small piece of artwork surrounded by lines and rectangles.
You can't see it in these images, but each of these (excepting CLONE WARS) has a small window on the back with a piece of McQuarrie art on it that relates to each film.
Speaking of which, anybody have a large scan of that classic poster concept? The one with the concept vader looming over the heroes? It's the one that appears on the official DVD Special Features disc.
Also, still needing a textless E-III poster...

Nice one, have you seen Spidernap's cool MagnoliaFan covers? (can be found in at 'misc', then 'fanedits' section at http://home.pages.at/grisan/ ). Very simple, almost minimalist yet very eyecatching covers (for me anyway, lol)
Rikter also did some great work on 4-disc boxset covers - inspired by the Japanese laserdisc release covers.
Tis the problem with most sci-fi covers - they eat up the black ink on the printer
