If the script is bad
“I rebel.”
Does that help?
But why is that a bad line?
“This is a rebellion, isn’t it?”
“I rebel.”
Rebel definition;
verb (used without object), rebel, rebelled, rebelling.
to reject, resist, or rise in arms against one’s government or ruler.
e.g. “to rebel”
This is not meant to be some sort of “I, robot” kind of line, she’s simply stating that she rebels and that she should have the approval of a rebellion, which according to the trailer has more or less “arrested” her for violent acts against the Imperial authority.
Also the trailer has clearly chopped up the dialogue to make it sound much more melodramatic and awkward than it’s likely to be in the film.
