Hi everyone! I'm new at originaltrilogy.com but I've been searching for a BATB truly original version (like the one I saw in theatres back in '92) for many years and discovering this topic it's a kind of miracle to me.

This is not a place to ask for download links, it is to discuss the project. I am unsure about other forums but this one does appreciate a bit more polite etiquette when showing interest in projects that are discussed here. Maybe reading through the thread and and the forum would be a better start than just signing up, showing up in a thread that interests you, only to want for free instead of trying to contribute a bit to the community you have entered.

Well, during the past months I learned a lot of new things, filters, techniques etc. and I thought to get back to old projects (even released one) and see if I can improve them somehow.
For BATB, maybe it’s wise to do a slight color correction, and make a step back and avoid the super-razor-sharp-and-ungrained version, in favour of a little bit more “natural” (as natural could be an animated feature, of course) and to add a grain plate (asked by many) - at the end, the grain was there when printed in the film, right?

I like the new one. Very nice.
I’m not sure how I feel about the added grain, ^…^. Overall, yeah, the new look is definitely superior.
I’ve always felt that once the grain is destroyed, adding fresh grain is just obscuring any detail left from over filtering or low resolution.
Could you post a new w/ grain plate vs. new w/o grain plate for comparison?
