He should have made the PT to mold perfectly with the OOT in the first place then there would be no holes, and no need for a rewrite of the OT.

Rewrite the OT? What was Lord Skywalker thinking. Continuity means that the new fits the old, not changing the old to fit the new.

Then again, I don't think they are as completely unreconsilable as Lord Skywalker made them out to be.
