Question about Empire Strikes Back scene

Hey fellas! Glad to see the buzz back to Star Wars a bit after the trailer... I had to go back and watch the originals and stare in awe at how awesome they truly were and are.

This one's always bothered me, but you know the scene before Needa's death and you see Vader's Star Destroyer and some other ones around it, this box like object comes out of a hanger and flies towards Vader's Destroyer. Any idea what that is, a shuttle, a box of cargo? It's probably nothing but I was wondering what you guys thought it was.

It's a TIE Shuttle. It's often used for ship to ship travel.

Still I remember some people think of it as an error.
