Fantastic. I hope one of you is going to be anal enough to record the whole show (titles and credits) and encode it in the highest quality

The Clapperboard special was actually recorded on Betamax and not VHS back in 1982 (It was the repeat showing. The original broadcast was in 1980. How come I can remember this stuff and not what i had for breakfast). Back then Betamax was of far superior quality than VHS (some would say it still is). The Horizon special and all of my other recordings from that era, about 20 hours worth, were also on Betamax (which have since been transferred to DV just to preserve them). In fact if you are lucky enough to find a good condition Betamax machine with stereo sound and decent inputs, grab it and ditch your VHS. Having said that I hope you're all moving over to DVD recorders and TiVo. Useless piece of information: Betamax was never designed for video. It was originally supposed to be an audio format allowing for multi track recording. I used VHS for a year and then moved over to recording on DV using my Digicam for the Episode I and II era stuff. Then a year and a half ago I invested in the DVD recorder.

If you are going to buy a new VHS to transfer your stuff, buy a Panasonic and make sure it has, and you use, an S-Video output. It's no good being cheap if you're preserving your archives!

On the subject of covers for the releases, let your artistic juices flow. I don't have any plans to make any. Please feel free to post the links to the covers here and maybe i'll name the best ones the OFFICIAL cover.

Keep posting your comments and questions and i'll do my best to answer them.
